    Daniel Levy - Chairman

I never made any point about the types of players we are or are not buying. I responded only to your point about Arsenal that I don't think is a valid point as (I think) I showed. They've signed both young and proven players over many years now.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

I think Vicario is in the bottom 6 keepers in the PL. It was like a whole new goalkeeping concept had been demonstrated at our stadium on Sunday watching Ipswich's keeper properly dominate his penalty area. Notts Forest (who already have a better keeper than us) tried to buy Kelleher from...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

That's right - pass and move right at the start of his tenure when the team were still playing as though coached by Pochettino, that gradually became more and more defensive until we ended up in his negative, boring, sit deep in a low block and play counter attack only gameplan.

I'm not sure there has ever been a manager EVER who hasn't lost games they shouldn't have lost? Certainly not over anything more than a tiny sample size anyway.

I've got to say that I am absolutely fine with Spurs spending money on young, promising players that aren't yet the finished article and/or at their peak. However, if this is our strategy (and there is nothing at all wrong with this strategy) then we have to give our managers far more time than...

    Daniel Levy - Chairman

My point was solely in response to the following point that you made in a post: Arsenal did that mostly by buying young players and developing a proper team and squad. It's only once they were close that they bought the one or two players that are ready made. I then pointed out the various...

Paratici did an absolutely fantastic job. The jury is still out on his replacement IMO (not saying he is bad/isn't good, just that there hasn't yet been enough time to tell). From what I can tell our chairman sacks managers if they fail to get into Europe at all (or look like that will happen)...

Two proven PL players in White and Ramsdale and Odegaard from Real Madrid (having proved himself on loan the season before). Partay and Willian the season before that. Luiz and Pepe the season before that. They've been signing a mixture of ready made players and younger players for years.

But surely if a team has won 4 PL titles in a row despite their manager apparently having 'tacticial meltdowns' then it follows that Haaland must be making up for the manager's tactical meltdowns? Or perhaps Gaurdiola is just a really good manager and 'tactical meltdowns' are something that...

    Daniel Levy - Chairman

I hope you're right. Time may well tell on this, as if our current form continues then we'll likely be firmly mid-table around the New Year. I think we desperately need to give a manager time and also give a manager most of what he wants for a good 5 or 6 transfer windows in a row. I could be...

I'm not sure that is true at all.... 22/23 they brought in Jesus and Zichenko from Emirates Marketing Project, as well as Trossard from Brighton and Jorginho from Chelsea. 23/24 they brought in Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and David Reya. 24/25 they brought in Merino, Sterling and Neto Arsenal are clearly trying...

Emirates Marketing Project winning 4 premier league titles in a row suggests your statement is wrong.

    1. Flits from one model to another and also goes from one type of manager to the opposite type of manager quite regularly then not giving the new man the time and the signings they need to implement their own style. I can't believe there are some on here who actually want Levy to replace...

He is clearly being asked to defend against the opponent’s left back (as Son/Werner are being asked to defend against the opposing right back).

I’m not sure any opponent’s left backs have scored against us this season?

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

History tells us it won’t happen. I agree with everything you wrote in your first paragraph but nothing you said in your second. Levy will sack him as soon as “Levy/ENIC out” chants are heard at the stadium.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Sacking Ange would be stupid. We need to learn from sacking a bunch of good managers previously, especially since history tells us we’ll lurch to somebody with a completely different philosophy who wants to sign a whole new team of players. We’ve gone into the season 3 senior players short. It...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

I suspect Ange now has one game to save his job. Levy sacked a far better manager than him, with huge amounts more credit in the bank, with far less financial backing, only 12 games into the season. Lose the next league game and he’s toast.
