OMT: Mighty Tottenham Hotspurs vs Brentford - Sat, 21 Sept, 3pm

He may as well get used to it. To paraphrase Ange "It's what we are mate."

Christ, no wonder Satan was complaining of a chill this morning. If you're not optimistic we're doomed.

OMT: Mighty Tottenham Hotspurs vs Brentford - Sat, 21 Sept, 3pm

Have a bad feeling about this one. We play how we usually play and I can see them doing us on the counter. Thankfully, my predictions are usually the opposite of what happens. I'm sort of an anti-Nostradamus.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

It drove me nuts first half, I saw Dragusin get the ball twice in a minute or two and there was literally not one of our players moving for it. He delayed and delayed twice for movement, got none and once went square to Davies and the other time went back to Forster. I get that Coventry were set...

OMT: Mighty Tottenham Hotspurs vs Brentford - Sat, 21 Sept, 3pm

Tottenham Hotspur, traditionally a force in English football, finds itself in a bit of a rut. Their recent performances have been lackluster, leaving fans and pundits questioning their consistency. The departure of key players and managerial changes have disrupted their rhythm. The once-dominant...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Purely speculation based on what I'm watching but it looks like the players are reluctant to take the sort of risks needed to get at teams quickly because the margin for error is so small at this level. They make a mistake and lose it, we're wide open and likely to be punished and they're gonna...

OMT: Might Spurs v Coventry Wednesday 18 September, kick-off 8pm

I did wonder earlier in the thread why, when we were doing well last season, the first touch and first intention was always ultra positive and now it's very cautious and safe. Another poster suggested that perhaps the players are terrified of the consequences of taking those risks because we're...

OMT: Might Spurs v Coventry Wednesday 18 September, kick-off 8pm

I really hope so but there was a lot wrong in that performance and it’s carried on the trend from earlier games. Lots of possession and no chances, looked very ropey at the back. This won’t fix itself. Ange has gotten away with one big time. Good character from the players to get through but...

Dreadful performance, great character. Fair play. Delighted for Johnson and Spence.

People talking about Gray and Bergvall as the solution to our league problems. Hard to see it on the basis of tonight. Both young and have potential but they are not digging us out of this rut.

Need some character now. Get out of this after the absolute brick we’ve played and with the crowd all over it and I’ll at least be impressed by our character. Not sure I see it happening though.

Jesus, the defending there is frightening. No right back, Davies not watching the man. Utterly deserved.

We lose tonight and Ange’s “I always win in my second season” is gonna bite him a lot sooner and harder than I expected.

fudge me, that was poor. Lucky to be level. No one playing particularly well. Bentancur and Sarr have been pretty anonymous for two lads who I’d expect to run this game. Werner has been dreadful on the ball. We look absolutely atrocious going forward. Worrying.

First thing I noticed in the first game last season v Brentford was how positive everyone’s first touch was and how they always looked to pass forward. Now…it’s slow, it’s backwards and sideways too often. I don’t get it.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Comparisons with Poch are nonsense. Ange will not do what Poch did here in terms of league finishes (the run of 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th). But I'm not sure any other manager would either so sacking him in the hope of finding the next Poch comes with massive risk. Maybe Ange will manage to win a cup...

    Johan Lange - Technical Director

Kulu and Bentancur - yes. On Porro, I remember Levy and the club getting pelters for the length of time it took to do the deal - "just pay the money and sign the player Conte wants FFS".
