i think Levy is happy with Europa league and being a finalist in any cup final (rolex watch)

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

ange's experience has always being about the bigger fish in a small pond: celtic in the scottish league and the various nations in the 2nd tier internationals. so while he has lots of experience, he is naive at the top level, by the standards required by CL level and EPL top 5 coaches. at...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

i agree. ange is happy throwing bodies forward regardless of whether they are being utilised or not. it leaves gaps at the back and also tires players unnecessarily. it is very inefficient and that's why other teams can out run us and look fitter, while we look tired tracking back and lose...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Fellow Aussie, Mile Jedinak is the defensive coach - why isn't Ange sacking him? Also: Ryan Mason: Assistant manager Nick Montgomery: Assistant manager Sérgio Raimundo: Assistant manager Rob Burch: Goalkeeping coach Michael Cooper: First team physical performance coach Are these guys...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

will it be too early to start a "ange succesor" thread given that we have a recruitment team and youngsters that are already developing a system of play?

not seen him play but hope that he can adapt to a high line in a very fast league

    Son Heung-Min

son forced that penalty chasing and dribbling the ball into the penalty box he certainly has more joy playing for country who plays him to his strength

Cann we make the top 4 or 5?

we did see the same tactics at the beginning of the season and ange switched things around after a string of bad results. imo he doesn't respect the opposition enough and i don't think it will change. he's experienced and successful coaching the top teams in lesser leagues - celtic/scotland...

    Radu Drăgușin

he needs an extended run with in a stable pairing to be fair ideally vdv can make a swift recovery and the both of them can keep romero out for a while.

    Yang Min-Hyeok

Min Hyeok is tiny for the epl - still has a chance to grow and maybe internet stats hasn't been updated, but as it is - son - 1.83cm odobert - 1.82cm maddison - 1.75cm min hyeok - 1.73cm mitoma - 1.78cm we need mobile players who can get stuck in (like sarr, benta not like maddison, johnson)

we needed a 4th CB and clearly back up for maddisson last season... but we did not learn

    Cristian Romero

romero is a stupid professional who prioritizes playing for country and can't find a good balance for his long term fitness. my expectation is he won't be ready when the epl resumes but will be at top form for the next international break. lo celso was the same and we haven't learnt from it...

    Daniel Levy - Chairman

chelsea owners are admirable: - spend a lot of money on the club - still continuing to spend on the best young players globally without a new stadium - prioritize winning and building a new stadium before realising investment gains done all that with a chairman who is just learning about...

    Daniel Levy - Chairman

the only thing working for us now is the recruitment team and they have done reasonably well getting rid of players. unfortunately the balance tilted far too much towards youth and not enough experience in the last window, and did not address some obvious gaps - fast CB, maddison cover - which...

its really not working we are mid table. if we stick with ange we need better players who can overcome his lack of tacticial nous

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

i think ange needs better coaches as he himself is not very experienced. i don't think anyone except ange has had experience at a big EPL club or competing in Europe at first team assistant coach level or higher.

    Cristian Romero

agree. when players have to scramble back at top speed because we lack numbers at the back - its very inefficient use of resources on the pitch. ange claims he has one style but i think he needs to have variations on a theme when playing different teams i.e. better in game management. but will...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

But we do see evidence of repeated moves and set pieces, demonstrating that there is a plan. Is the plan not good enough, considering that Ange there is only one way to play, or has Ange coached the initiative out of the players? Maybe they have become uncreative as they try to stick to the...
