They kick chuncks out of us with no action, any slight touch from us and the ref responds to the crowd to give the fk. Momentum constantly back to them.

No it doesn’t matter who owns it, what matters is the output: water quality, treatment etc. Profit hungry investors care about returns not services. There is no alternative to Thames Water in its region. Same in every other region. It’s obvious to anyone (who’s not not confined by ideology)...

    *** Official Film Thread ***

Saw Conclave. Prescreening at bfta. I really enjoyed it but was tripping on some mushroom chocolate 😂😅 nice film and Fines is spectacular. Stanly tuchel pretty awesome too. Storyline was a bit too obvious. But I liked the film and how it makes a viewer question their relationship to Catholicism

If investment in infrastructure was being funding predominantly by investors - then yes - but it is being funded. The funding it does have is from revenue. You espouse capitalism. So you must acknowledge that the exercise of investing in water company is about making money. The motivation is...

25 billion has been taken out, possibly more. That 25 billion accrued would have made a massive difference. Huge amounts could have been done with it. It is in addition to money that is reinvested as part of the companies contracts don't forget. Private companies with hungry investors are...

2022/2023: Water companies in England made £1.7 billion in pre-tax profits, which is an 82% increase from 2018/2019. Thames Water was pillaged some years ago. Was registered as an offshore company! Which is absurd.

If all profits were put back into the infrastructure, wouldn't that be a start to addressing the issue?

For sure. Having ideas and innovating are imoortant. Which is why Badenoch may win over Jenrick. A least she has some ideas. The huge irony may well be the institutional racism that Badenoch doesn’t think exists may keep her from the top job. Remember the same old Tory members shunning Sunak for...

A centrist. And as we know they tend to fair better and capture more votes. Also a likeable, well presented and intelligent chap. I don’t think anyone in the Labour Party thought Starmer was anything like Corbyn. The Labour left lamented Starmer and the shift to the centre. Starmer was the...

Possibly because you are looney fridge! Starmer was known for being dull, predictable. Far from your representation. Possibly right here. I don’t know much about Jenrick, maybe he’s playing a popularist card. Though I’d note he also only just got ahead of Cleverly. Janrick wasn’t looney enough...
