This exactly. There’s absolutely no comparison. Chelsea initiated the process, engaged with the process and negotiated a settlement.

City were dragged kicking and screaming to the table, refused to engage, insisted on their innocence and were found resoundingly guilty. They’re in a world of brick.

I see a lot of assumptions being made on what the punishment will be or won’t be based on pure skepticism. While that’s understandable to a degree, none of us know because this is unprecedented but it’s very hard to imagine that it’ll be a slap on the wrist.

This for me too. Strip the titles but just have it void.

They surely have to be kicked out the PL (or a 100+ points deduction so they are relegated next season). If not then where’s the incentive to stick to the rules?
 
A combination of point deductions, wiping out tranfer fees owed, immediate payment of all outstanding transfer fees and a repayment of all prize monies won which can be invested in the lower tiers.

Chelsea had to. Their books were open to the government and investors.
They commited fraud against the pl, lying about their finances. Shouldn't matter if it was new owners or not.
 
It's all Bol-lox...performative nonsense. The only beneficiaries will be the lawyers who have bought holiday homes and made sure their kids are set up for life off the back of all this. Let's be honest, as @K.D.D.D.D.Soc said, taking their titles away would amount to little. It would be the ULTIMATE VARification of the game. The glory is always in the moment. Pushing them down a couple of divisions with a two-three year transfer ban might be something, but in another sense it takes a bite out of those clubs whose league they'd be parked in (abeit the TV rev would help them I suppose).
It's been a bit of a sham from the start it seems...

This would be a valid take had the charges been dropped. The Prem has won 114/115 charges.
