It is because the puppet masters need a visible form of protest to sate the desires of the wife beaters and assorted sex offenders who salivate at the thought of a spot of weekend thuggery. They are not targeting the French police, the French navy, the Coastguard or our own navy but have chosen a charity or volunteers with a shop, lifeboat station in a host of festering brickholes, mostly on the South East coast. I've bought into balaclava futures to fund my latest golf obsession over the next decade.
 
Not strictly political but Ratcliffe might as well be a politician with his misleading comparisons, comparing gas prices in UK to the USA and China is just nonsense. No idea on business gas prices but a quick search shows plenty of countries in Europe are paying higher household gas prices than the UK.

He ought to be arrested and charged with endangering life. I think there was only one rescue worker on the dinghy at the time but nonetheless it is an enormously wreckless and dangerous thing to do.
(I suspect he would not have dared go near if there were actual asylum seekers onboard).
Police statement last night said they were pursuing enquiries, so maybe there will be some consequences for him.
