Apologies if the thread already exists, but is it time for a conversation on the media and Tottenham? Or how certain other clubs seem bereft of such criticism?

Today's front page BBC Sport Article. You see, any decision benefitting Tottenham now requires such in-depth analysis, forensic detail to categorically prove things. Where was this last week for Maguire?

It's starting to grate on me hugely how the club is treated compared to others, and especially the South London lot. It can't be a coincidence. Ange absolutely nailed it.

"Spurs does crazy things to people. You put that club into any sentence or any issue, and invariably they all come here and try and diminish as much as they can. Why wasn't it an issue before and it's an issue now? It does crazy things to people"

Yeah, until the higher-ups at the club get involved alongside the manager to make challenges to media narratives, inconsistent referreing etc, nothing much will change imo.

The South London lot make noises when they need to, as did Jose, SAF, Klopp etc

Henry Winter preferred to write about how Forest should have been awarded a penalty because of a 'high boot' by Tonali and / or the goal should have stood because even if the ball did hit Williams hand, he was simply protecting himself from Tonali's dangerous play. I mean, words fail me ...

Thats par for the game now, everyone is a victim of it.

I would say this is not about Spurs, the bigger picture is that now football has been handed over to social media clout chasers and TV has given up to them, this is why you are seeing what you are seeing, as are all clubs. This is not about commenting on the game with any nuance anymore, its about goading fanbases into responses and anger. And It works. Heck our own fanbase does it now about its own club chasing engagement

Look at the advertising on Dominoes and Paddy Power, everyone is fair game, its the same shoite. The bar has been lowered so so badly with football

I hate it, I think its got a choak hold on the game, but we are not the only victims of this

It is too much to ask these days that a football journalist actually knows the rules of football.

Absolutely this, as I have seen our fans on twitter go over and over the VAR decision discourse more than the discourse itself, as soon as fans stop wetting the bed about the reaction and moving on, so will the media
 
It's just ragebait. They know there's a lot of Spurs fans out there and after last season, a lot of them have a very short fuse. That's modern society for you: baiting people, making them even more miserable than they already are, for a few clics and a couple of ads seen. I'm pretty sure ManUre had the same treatment when they finished 15th.

I'm much more worried about the referees.
 
Sky sports ref watch spent over 10 minutes on the non handball and an other few on an incident that would have been the softest penalty ever.
