Well RDZ said Udogie has a small problem, which is concerning considering he had the whole summer off to recuperate.
It's now or never for him. As soon as he gets a muscle problem this season, he will be taken out the back and shot.
Presumably that is why we have 7 players that can cover left back.
I suspect he will get a couple of injuries this season, then we will sell him back to Italy next summer for a low price.
Sell, we can’t rely on him unfortunately.Destiny Udogie is open to leaving Tottenham this summer, with AS Roma keen on landing the left back. The Serie A side are preparing an offer for the Italian international. (Nicolo Schira)

Availability is the best ability.I’d sell, you can be as good or as promising as you like, if you’re barely available then what’s the point?
Not if we sell him to Porto as seems to be reportedAvailability is the best ability.
He’s a very good player when fit but has never kicked on and still lacks the killer instincts in the final third imo.
If we do let him go, then we’re planning on developing Souza.
Just going on pre-season (minutes carefully managed, no new injuries), De Zerbi seems to have a more balanced approach to injuries and managing fitness, after the cavalier years of Ange and Munn
It wouldn't surprise me therefore if we see players like Udgoie and vdV put their troubles behind them and become largely ever presents this season
That was a while ago wasn't it? And then it came out we wasn't going to release him, presumably due to Udogie getting injured again....Not if we sell him to Porto as seems to be reported
I sort of get where you're coming from but not sure why Munn was perceived as cavalier. He didn't train the players or set the tactical intensity on the pitch. He didn't decide the different training sessions during the working week. He was more on the other side of things in my opinion. He was trying to build something on the medical side that would cope with the stress on players in this era of football, regardless of the manager's philosophy.
As you say though, there is hopefully a pattern where we're not sustaining so many injuries. The bigger topic is now the pace at which players are coming back. Some have had an entire summer and won't even make the first match day squad. That seems to be the fan focus.
We should sell. Hes never fit for a good run in the team. We ve bought Robbo and Sousa. We need to start weeding out these players who cant stay fit. You can completely understand major injuries like breaks, ligament tears and ruptures etc, but these muscle injuries and constant minor niggles the same players keep getting? Just get rid. Solanke is another crook who can go.Destiny Udogie is open to leaving Tottenham this summer, with AS Roma keen on landing the left back. Munn sacked Geoff Scott and his team. The ones who consistently had us floating around 4th in the table for the least injuries. This was because Ange felt he was too risk-adverse. He use to advise to withdraw players who were red-zoning from training, but Ange refused to let any uninjured player miss sessions.
Munn then brought in Brighton's medical team who wouldn't intervene against the coach. Brighton were routinely bottom of the table for least injuries. I think they are the jokers we've still got. Hopefully the new review/overhaul will soon come to fruition; maybe we could even bring Scott's team back.

Isn’t that the problem you’re asking for when you an over promoted patsy as your DoF?Problem is, I did my own research. We hired as many medical folks from other clubs as Brighton. That was just a stupid narrative from media and fans.
According to your article, the only thing Munn did wrong was not put Ange back in his box. Ditto with Mourinho's boss when he was being as equally disrespectful to the medical team a few season's back.
This is an age old problem where manager's take the tinkle with player's welfare. It's not Munn's fault. It's just a problem throughout the whole game. What has been required for years is for players to have medical diagnostics on a weekly basis and if they are in the red zone then the manager can't have access to them. We also need a doctors signature to sign them off to be ready to play again after injury. The power has to shift back to the medical and conditioning teams in this area.
Or we can just blame Munn as, like Lange, it is an easy narrative.
