IF he can stay injury free, and IF RDZ stays and develops the team (I think he will) imo Udogie deserves a fair crack. He’s played under 7 managers from Conte to RDZ. Add in the injuries and he’s had a fairly torrid time.

I note he was the 4th fastest player in the EPL last season. Maybe less sprints may result in less injuries, it definitely worked for VDV.

There's a very good player in Udogie, and he's shown that in his early days at Tottenham....then the injuries started happening.

For me, I am fine with selling him. He hasn't been the player I expected him to be. I am also fine with us being patient for one more year.
He hasn't kicked on from his first season form that's for sure. Of course injuries have played its part, hopefully a season without Europe can help him in that respect. Feel like this is a make or break season for him though....

He stylistically reminds me of Nico O'Reilly (who I think is very good as well). Upright, head up style, technically very good and strong. Maybe Udogie has a bit more straight line power?

Think he'd be brilliant by now without his injuries but to be honest he's up there with Richarlison for injury riddledness in the top tier and cannot be relied upon at all.

If he is like Richi, then we have hope. Most fans had written him off as an injury crock for a couple of seasons. Then he came back strong and was mostly available for selection each week.
The concern with Destiny is the continual injury cycles. We saw with Dele that when you have multiple soft tissue injuries eventually it takes it toll long term.

He is good in defence and works hard, but availability is the most important factor for the Spurs team now.

Well RDZ said Udogie has a small problem, which is concerning considering he had the whole summer off to recuperate.
It's now or never for him. As soon as he gets a muscle problem this season, he will be taken out the back and shot.
Presumably that is why we have 7 players that can cover left back.
I suspect he will get a couple of injuries this season, then we will sell him back to Italy next summer for a low price.
