Turns out...
Has shown why he's picked week in week out, easily the best right back for ability on the ball. And the idea he can't defend is nonsense. Doku for all his twisting and turning didn't get round him once in the previous round and he's been fine tonight too.

he's had a lot of very poor defensive moments for us it has to be said
All our defenders have had plenty in a disjointed team with managers not suited to this club, he looked fine under RDZ and is the best RB at the World Cup. He is a great right back and we won't be getting better....

Madrid can want all they like. We won’t be selling him. He’s signed 5 year contract clearly he enjoys being at the club and why would we sell one of our first team players if not forced to do so?
He's repeatedly said the club has backed him, been good to him, so he's happy to sign
