Kevin Danso

I’ve not watched Senesi - how much of an upgrade is he on Danso? In what way?

Not sure I'd call him an upgrade, another senior pro

Video shows someone quite good in 1:1 defending, good in air, and has a pretty decent ranged pass on him

All I know about him is he done well on fantasy football with the def cons

*Senesi that is
Was crucial for me to secure first place in two of the leagues I was in. I also had three Arse players in every squad in a futile attempt at jinxing, which obviously also played a part.

In my day the centrehalf was to block anything coming into the middle of defence, I had one manager who demanded we never get wider than the penalty area, never let the ball bounce and don't fanny about in the box. The game has change so much.
Yep, exactly how I grew up playing. I recall many shouts of “Get rid!” and “take ‘im out!” from the sidelines while trying to avoid the random dog turds and bottle caps while putting in one of countless sliding tackles each game.

Fond memories!

That reminds me of an other instruction, "stay on your feet"

Sensi is a player, Danso is a DEFENDER. Sensi hardly ever wins a header. His stats in that area is frankly shocking for a CB, but he's good in other areas.

I do wonder if we may see RDZ play 3 at the back
Danso being the stopper
He did try 3 at the back at Marseille so he isn’t a adverse to it

Guys a bit like Pal, forever grateful for last season. I maintain we would be down if it wasn't for him coming in.

But, he's really not got much of a chance under RDZs style.

Hes not good enough on the ball
He's never going to be a starter under RDZ... but I would still want him in our squad and on the bench if we need to close a game ten minutes from time....

I don’t know, I think is a place for him, a time when a full blooded defender is needed. Whether he would be happy with that role is a different story

I like Danso but feels like every time he does the let the ball go across his body thing he gets ruined.

Hope would be that Byfield or Hardy are taking his spot in a years time.
