FIFA really is that much much of a scam that I can almost believe that the last World Cup was fixed for a Mbappe v Messi final. It’s an utterly ludicrous concept but I can’t help thinking it’s feasible.

Sponsors and broadcasters aswell. Lets not pretend this is anything new. This goes back to the original ronaldo (probably further). They are the stars and what people want to see.
 
I don't think they should have VAR for corners unless they can fully automate the 'crossing the byline or not' part. Then that bit, yes.

But I'd be happy for the VAR in the booth man to prompt a correction in the earpiece of the onfield ref if he clearly sees he's got it wrong. Plenty enough time while the players fanny around before a corner or goal kick to switch the call
