ENIC

Think the deadline was 5th October so just four days to go and no bid yet from Roger Kennedy and Wing-Fai Ng through Firehawk Holdings Limited also seems we have dispensed with Rothschild & Co so looks like we really are not for sale or even looking for an investor, who is going to build the hotel as can be seen from photos on Skyscraper.Com it is still just a hole in the ground.
The club will build it as they always were

There will have to be a change to the statement released by the club when the last financials were published.

The club statement accompanying the results described the hotel as a "long-term project which would be non-recourse to the Club" and part of a larger High Road West redevelopment.
Non recourse relates to funding
As in its a debit tied to the asset itself
The club finances it using a development loan which is secured against the asset itself
It also means there is no risk or security given by the club or ENIC

Tavistock have a seperate company, based in the Bahamas, called TH Properties or something, which they seem to run all this type of stuff through. Obviously its all the same money, but i guess that limits the club's liability?

A little bit of possible ITK gossip from a work event tonight - Was told it's purely his speculation, but didn't feel that way. DL relieved of duties as seen as a blocker for takeover - we are for sale, 5Bn is the magic number, petromoney - Pretty closely placed fella - has been in the directors' box with the family and has strong current ties in c suite position in a tavistock owned company - Make of it what you will - could just be one mans musings but passing it on.... Call it bollox or whatever you like

Interesting bit of the article which might have been missed:

  • He was introduced to Tottenham by Trembling and had a tour of the club’s facilities arranged by former chairman Daniel Levy that the Lewis family, chief executive Vinai Venkatesham and non-executive chairman Peter Charrington knew nothing about.

Hmm, makes you wonder if that was one of Levy's final nails...?

Suspect it was levy just being courteous while knowing that it wasn't likely to progress so no point passing on the info.
I've only skimmed it but it says levy arranged the tour, no mention of a meeting. If Levy thought they were serious he'd have been there.

Will probably be difficult to prove one way or the other. Either way Levy will have still charged him £15 (+ £15 for this rooftop photos) at the end.

Better to show that level of hospitality than not.

Others not being able to be adults to differentiate the rumors from what's happened isnt on him or others.

Hmm, perhaps.

But it's odd how the article deliberately frames it in a "Levy vs the remaining bigwigs" sort of way...i wonder who briefed the writer to do that...

Have to take these takeover stories with a large pinch of salt, according to reports the £4.5 billion offer is actually £3.3 billion for the club and £1.2 billion promised tansfer fund/wages money which is probably there to send the fans into some kind of frenzy that we can ditch the lowest wage/revenue tag.

ENIC own 87% of the club so their share of £3.3 billion would be around £2.87 billion , an excellent return on their original outlay but I suspect they are looking for more.

Not really, spurs boardroom rift generates more clicks than, not very serious dude pokes around Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Levy was obviously aiming his "I'll be missed when I'm gone" towards the press.
Now he's not in the limelight it's not so easy to generate those clicks. Nobody generated clicks like levy.
