Thomas Frank - Head Coach

With traffic on a Saturday? For Frank to even arrive at kick off that gives him 2 hours, I'd say there is little chance he is doing both games...

They've just said 30 miles on commentary. I was forgetting the game was at our training ground. I'm guessing with modern sat nav tech they know exactly how long the journey will take.

I'm guessing the Luton team will leave at half time. They've been watching the first half.

So he was at both games

Clearly the mixed sides and missing players meant it was a bit messy at times in both games.

But I think you can already see some of the coaching ideas.

I think from his comments and the line ups the Luton team is the current first XI except the midfield, which is the Wycombe midfield.

Anyone think the players involved in these press conferences are likely to be high up on the list for a captain role this season?

No, I think the captaincy is decided

- If Son goes (looks very likely) and Romero stays, Romero will get it
- Maddison, Vic are the other senior players

If I was to look at the rest of the team, Porro could potentially be next in that group

Not sure about that, he's got a handful of games to get the players up to speed with his system/tactics.

I was referring to the doubleheader on Saturday, I saw no evidence of anything other than a standard team shape with little cohesion in team play. Would assume they'll be more structured play on tour.

Very nice surprise to have him turn up for our Ledley night. He was at another event in the hotel but specifically wanted to come and say hello to the fans. It was him who made it happen.

Good to see Ledley out and about.

It is annoying though....as I'm ALWAYS thinking...if this team (I mean every team since he retired ) had a Ledley things would be exponentially better.

One thing we as a club have to fix and the manager has to be firmer on is players playing their actual position they have trained for most of their career
some roles are just so unique in a football team and for me that’s GK and CF. They are ones that you have to know how to play for scrutiny different reasons
I fudging hate it when it’s a. Case of “he is a great option he can play several positions including Cf”… it’s utter gonads. It’s putting a warm
Body in position they haven’t been good enough to hold down their whole career

Agree bar Gary Mabbutt

Maybe not great but very good in all positions, even scored 2 when played up top but can't think who it was against
Can’t say I remember either
But playing CF is a unique role
Hold up play
Back to goal
And ultimately judged on hitting the ball in the net
No other role has that focus other than the keeper
