Levy stepping down rumour

Lol...Taking a Levy discussion personally....says Dubai haha.

He's practically ruined your life....if I got the gist of your last 10 years of posting correct. :)

Glad to have you back though mate. 😍

Haha - fair! He has, but I'm not personally against him mate.

I have nothing against the man - he's not evil by any means, or even ill-intentioned. Just...barely competent when it comes to football, which just isn't enough at this level. And once he leaves the club, I wish him happiness wherever he goes.

But I doubt that he will leave the club, is all. And part of it is because he's so wrapped up in it, compared to other, richer owners who have much more going on to keep them in the public eye outside of their PL clubs.

The man himself has said he has no interest in leaving, and has been cited as a barrier to any sale because of his insistence on retaining control. So it's really public information at this point.

Levy staying will have nothing to do with him wanting to stay in the public eye, he's private and gives few interviews. He'll be staying because he loves what he does.

He's an ENIC bod, was appointed to the THFC Board as an Non-Exec Director a couple of months back.
Not seen anything about him taking over, but then there's so much cr*p speculation out there at the moment it's hard to keep track.
Would be funny if its Josh that takes over. The racists wouldnt even need to change their banners then

Honestly would need to look at the numbers in more detail

- The ~$1B is really two sets of debt, long term, low interest Stadium debt, shorter term outstanding player payment structure
- Chelsea has set a precedent with $3B +additional $2B committed spend for a club that still needs to upgrade/replace their stadium and has complications re ground ownership.

So cost will be value +stadium debt +some agree investment, but that would be for full sale

I suspect, partial investment with money in going to player debt and new transfer funding might be more likely.
From the last set of accounts it didn't seem that our debt was at low interest rates. In fact the interest we are paying on our debt seems to be climbing at rather an uncomfortable rate the past few years.

To put it bluntly.....you've got fudge all idea what's going on in the rest of his life.

And NO idea as to what is important to him
Workaholics tend to enjoy work. Levy is clearly a workaholic. I don't know many uber rich people (i.e. those worth hundreds of millions) who retire early, especially the self made uber rich. If Tottenham is sold and Levy eventually steps away from his chairman role then I doubt he would retire and enjoy his money, I think he'd go again (perhaps even with another football club). I think it is fair of @DubaiSpur to say that Tottenham is Levy's life and he has little else (in terms of business anyway).
