Donna Cullen gone...first of the changes?

Yep
Always bothered me when that kind of stuff got churned out
She lives down the road from me and has been helping my nephew get a job in the game (he starts at derby in the summer)
Every time I’ve spoke to her (probably about 10 times in the pub) she has been as avid a spurs fan as I’ve met and still super professional
We got drunk once when she came in for dinner and I asked her about poch
She started off by saying how classy he was as a man and also how polite too
Then said the decision to let him go was taken by the man in charge with much regret. Daniel and poch love each other and it was like a brotherly relationship (I’m paraphrasing what I remember)

Did she tell you in advance that she was leaving? Did she say why and what she plans next?

Paratici worries me
Not because he doesn’t have a role but because be is a bit “nuts”
(Also he signed Gil who was clearly a kid off the street)
His role needs real boundaries to use that talent

Defo. I don't doubt his eye for talent, or his talent as a 'fixer' in the market - he has plenty of connections, he uses them, he's very good at what he does, in the true fashion of Italian sporting directors like Baldini, Moggi and Marotta. Given time, I have little doubt he'll emulate their achievements.

The problem is, he's like those Italian sporting directors, Baldini, Moggi and Marotta. The reason I use those examples is because Moggi dominated Italian football and then got done for Calciopoli - Baldini brought Roma their third title, and then was nearly done for the same, escaping because he turned states' evidence.

This type of sporting director has a long and storied history in Italy, of doing anything and everything to keep their clubs successful. Legal and not-so-legal, sensible and sometimes utterly crazy. Paratici is 200% that type of guy. He'll fight our corner, but do it his way or the highway. English sporting directors have typically not been that type - here they work more by consensus.

No
I have haven’t seen her in about 2 years
My nephew hasn’t sown to her since January although she did say she would help him with his CV for the roles he has been applying for
Last time she got Simon Davies to talk though it with him
She didn’t need to do any of that of course

Companies House listed a change in the details of both Cullen and operations and finance director Matthew Collecott. Tottenham said there was no announcement planned on Collecott, but sources believe the Companies House notification indicates a change of role either inside the club or with Enic, who he joined in 1998.

(Taking Law at his word, I haven't looked at the Companies House info).

If Collecott is moving on, I'd expect a good 3-6 month handover to a new CFO in any case.

To be fair, DC also has a handover planned (going by the club statement) - think she'll be here for a few months yet until Venkatesham is settled in.

One thing that has occurred to me is that in really large companies the board is just that. They don't have organisational, functional accountabilities like marketing and communications. They sit above that level of day to day running of the company. Collecott and Cullen have always operated in both spaces, which is the way for smaller companies.

Same as Levy operating as Chairman AND CEO even though we didn't really title him like that. Now we have a new CEO, Vinai, who can lead the company whilst Levy can be chairman of the board.

I'm quite excited about the changes we're seeing at THFC over these last 2-3 years. It feels like a company that is growing up.

She's actually someone I will miss at the club.

I first dealt with her when santini quit, and Jol was installed, I was one for the first people to interview Martin for an article for GG as was back then - she set it up and from then on we have stayed in touch throughout the years.

She's a very staunch fan of the club, she will bleed lilywhite forever, she's also likely had a long run and wants to step away as things really change this summer.

She always replied when I email or call her, and honestly I have nothing but respect for her.

Oh and the Poch stuff as alluded to elsewhere was rubbish. She's a big fan and holds no issue with him, we discussed it a few years ago.

Ive seen a lot of people have said good about her leaving, without actually saying why and what she has done so wrong?

Genuine question, why was she hated?
