Modern footballers are wimps back in '82 we played 8 games in 17 days, it was great preparation for the cup final and the replay.
And you probably ran a total of 15 kilometres in those 8 games combined, and today that's what they run in 1 game. Football in 82 and now aren't even remotely comparable.Modern footballers are wimps back in '82 we played 8 games in 17 days, it was great preparation for the cup final and the replay.

I remember that run in. ScandalousModern footballers are wimps back in '82 we played 8 games in 17 days, it was great preparation for the cup final and the replay.
It takes 2.5 hrs from San Sebastian to Bilbao....it's only 100kmYeah we done the reverse for the CL final
Plus the EL final comes round so quickly on the 21st ...I think all UEFA finals should be post season...and the Conference League final should be first. It's another week after the EL final. It's a bloody joke the final is midweek, why isn't it either a Saturday the same as the CL or the Friday night before the CL final.
The issue is it’s a small city with a poor infrastructure for travel (by modern standards)Just typical that should we get to the final we play yet another English team with a massive fanbase. So two lots of English fans travelling in their tens of thousands looking for flights and hotels.
Again, not a bad thingChange of topic : I received this from the club re Junior tickets
We’re writing to let you know about a change to how Junior tickets will be scanned when entering the stadium, starting from this Sunday’s fixture against Crystal Palace.
Going forward, there will be two designated turnstiles per entrance where all Junior tickets will need to be scanned. These turnstiles will continue to accept all other types of tickets, ensuring families can still enter the stadium together – but Junior tickets will only work when scanned at these points.
Signage will be in place at each entrance to indicate what turnstiles to use and we don’t anticipate this will cause any delays to the entry process. Stewards will also be positioned at each location to provide assistance if required.
Clamping down on adults using junior tickets by the sounds of it.
