*** Tottenham Hotspur v Nottingham Forest ***

Nothing against Forest as a club but i hope they miss out on the CL. Quite frustrating watching a team having 5 shots on goal in 90 mins, scoring 3 goals and getting away with it week in week out. Obviously I hope Chelsea miss out but I hope Forest do too.
It's great way to conserve energy levels. I always felt if they needed more they would have gone for it.

Our set up out of position isn't any better....

Lets be honest, it is woeful. Even when we have time to get back, we dont have a good shape and remain open. We're easy to get around the side of. We don't mark well, and leave something for every side. Our press is school-yard, only really effective against teams who can't pass well.

In possession we are decent however.

I don't think we are.
Too many balls sideways and backwards. All far too slow.

Very little options for the person with the ball as we go to a 2134 formation

I honestly don't know what team you're watching, we're terrible in possession - laboured, plodding football

Compared to which other Spurs side? I think we work the ball quite well. Lots of room for improvement, but we can work our way through a low block like today. We lack cutting edge and being clinical in the box, but we work our way into openings relatively well imo. Given the players we have that is one part of our game that is at least decent.

Given the players we have, I think we're okay in possession. Maybe could be quicker with passes, but then we'd risk losing possession.

What are they getting away with though?

They started well scored 2, could have had more and then kept a good shape and waited to pounce on any opportunities given to them.

That's really good game management. They didn't camp, the line was surprisingly high. They just defended well and were direct in possession.

We didn't really work our way through a low block today we mostly went wide and put a lot of crosses in - it's valid enough but it is not playing through and opening up a low block

Aye they have different attributes and Richy is definitely more rounded than Johnson but they both ultimately quite poor players but both have a knack for scoring the occasional goal.

I don't rate either and it would be quite painful watching both start the same match
I love Richy. I think Johnson can become a great player if he introduces other attributes to his game. Like you said, both score goals, which is not an easy thing to do.

XG of 2.5 which we had today is normally sufficient - if you stop the other side from scoring 2.

Original post was: Nuno's defensive organisation out of possession, Ange's in possession, would work. What we don't do is sprint back when out of possession and get into a good shape.
