Probably only Thomas Midgley, the guy who largely caused both globally warming and the hole in the ozone layer.Murderer, wife beater and it's his fault the Kardashians got any sort of spotlight.
Is there a worse track record in history?
I'm ok with one of them but not the other.Incorrigible womaniser and a wife beater too.
Well Gazza nearly did a drunken Thelma and Louise with Raoul Moat, so it could have happened.Still think it’s incredible that he got away with murder. I mean the prosecution were so naive at every turn. Anyone who hasn’t watched the people vs OJ, give it a watch. One of the best miniseries you will watch! There’s a good documentary about him on Disney plus called ‘the run of his life’ that is worth watching. Not sure if people outside the US appreciate just how great of a football player he was. He was a hall of famer. Would be like if Alan Shearer or Gazza got done for murder.
I know he's held in high regard at Spurs for his footballing genius and he clearly has a lot of deep rooted issues but Gazza is a self confessed wife beater. It's hard to look past that regardless of what he did on the pitch.Well Gazza nearly did a drunken Thelma and Louise with Raoul Moat, so it could have happened.
I think from here the case just reinforced the assumption that American law is determined by money, not justice.

He confessed and admitted it had been going on for years.True. Although there's always that weird thing about the press being called to attend before it happened. I.e. not that it didn't happen, but that there was quite active entrapment.

Was 'Yosser Hughes' in 'Boys from the black stuff' when I first saw him on tv.Bernard Hill: Titanic and Lord of the Rings actor dies

Surprised there's no mention of the above. Honestly off the top of my head I'm not all that sure of what else Bernard Hill has done, but his work in Lord of the Rings contributed to some of the best moments in cinematic history. I don't see that trilogy being topped and he was a perfect cast for Theoden. RIP.

My first also and probably joint-favourite World Cup with 1982.“César Luis Menotti, the coach who led Argentina to victory at the 1978 World Cup and a central figure in Argentine football, has died at the age of 85.”
The first World Cup I can really remember. The image of Menotti on the sideline, cigarette permanently in hand, looking like a writer or a philosopher. An influential figure by all accounts.
Same for me re ‘78, although I have a very soft spot for Italia ‘90.My first also and probably joint-favourite World Cup with 1982.
