When I say counter attack, I mean breaks, turnovers with the team unbalanced vertically. Happened several times just yesterday. Not the long releasing ball into open space. Incidentally and arguably the thing we were best at under Poch.

I think we need to see the defense as a unit and not individual players. Take Porro, a great RB in a wingback system without too many defensive responsibilities, but not very suited to a defense where the CBs are pushing up without a link. Usink a link anchor requires more of the two in the...

Agree about Tel, he looks like he would suit a system we don't play, and his qualities doesn't match our requirements - or our league. Some would say the same about Gil. Reminiscent, but not like Son at the end. Sure he can be trained, but you pay for attributes. You buy a quick player, not a...

Of course, hence the "no comparison intended" - other than that Bergvall is looking like a player that again - wants to make things happen, always looks up the pitch and is not afraid to get stuck in. We count the assists, but had we counted the assists to the assists, Modric (and I think...

My local team had long wrinkles on the side of the turf, visible from the top of the stands (not that the stands are huge, mind). And they were on the near end, by the team boxes. This is/was at level 3 in the league system.

If anything, having a team train on perfect pitches trimmed by nail clippers could be detrimental. I'm not saying they should train in a potato field, but playing on less-than-perfect pitches is not only a part, but a main part of professional football. Having a fantastic pitch in front of you...

I'm aware that the result is specific event based, but I'd be tempted to say that playing like we already won the match because we won the previous 2 for 60 minutes lost us the points. Bodø/Glimt are no pushovers, and this isn't the Europa League. This is centre stage.

I'd love to see how Bergvall and Maddison with Palinha behind would work out. So would whoever plays up front for us as well, I'd reckon.

No comparison intended, but like Modric he looks more like an assister to an assist than an assister. He's constantly trying to make things happen, which is what I like most about him.

We did that at the start of the season, didn't we? Seem to remember commenting about just that, how refreshing not seeing 90% of the balls ending up as aimless crosses from the flank. Bergvall and Sarr with Palinha as anchor? Bentancur is shiftable.

I'd given my neighbor's right arm for that half an hour ago. Not good, but it could be worse. We could be Man Utd.

Good goal that. Will we begin to play now?

Very deserved that. It didn't take long to implement the Tottenham Hotspur Complacency System.

VAR is a very expensive way of replacing human inconsistent interpretation with human inconsistent interpretation. But with a monitor.
