World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

Without the massive, obvious and frequent protection from the referees they’d have got nowhere near the final. Ironically enough, about the only game that wasn’t significantly assisted by the officials was the England game

Messi foul then boots the ball away - no yellow. Standard.

No. Neither of those things are good for football. Although in all honesty I pay little attention to the balloon thingy as it’s a fix.

Argentina is an absolutely vile side full of vile players. I’ve long since tired of the Messi love-in: nice to see them pointing out that he’s as much of a clam as the rest of them with that pathetic attempt to get another player sent off. Now watch them spawn a 1-0 win.

    Cheatski are still scum

Wasn’t it Fernandez that sang the racist song about French players on video? Maybe he’s got a French chef. DEFINITELY can’t be racist if you have a French chef and English nannies.

I wonder if they’ll manage more than 12% possession

It’s rather flippant but I like to say that if the Hispanic majority Argentines hand the land mass now known as Argentina back to the indigenous peoples then they can come and live in the Falklands

It’s not a majority of ex pats. The great majority are Falkland Islanders born and bred. They’re proud to be Falklanders and they’re proud to be British citizens.

Maybe. But it would depend upon us having never properly occupied the Isle of Wight and them having settled it for hundreds of years…! Anyway, this is a football forum so I shall return to the correct subject now!

No. It’s an opinion. Apart from anything else, the bloke fudged off to Argentina to watch another team while his teammates toiled against a relegation (to which his mixed performances, constant injuries and regular suspensions contributed significantly): I hardly think that shows the attitude...

I can’t wait for him to leave. I think our team will be a more harmonious place without him.

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

I think they’re extremely average. They’ve stumbled into the final, utterly reliant on a 39-year old that walks much of the time and have benefitted from appalling VAR and refereeing decisions at every turn. They were absolutely there for the taking and Tuchel (and England) choked in one of the...

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

In my opinion, Tuchel absolutely and categorically bottled it last night. Those subs were some of weirdest that I’ve ever seen. It was t until they scored again and he put attackers back on that we touched the ball again. Pathetic from the coach that’s here to win us trophies.
