World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

Man…that giveaway makes me angry. It’s like one of the many inexplicable mistakes we’ve seen from Spurs this past season where you can see it leading to a goal from a mile off. Just totally dumb. fudging clear it! Was a guy who came on 12 mins ago too…not even possible to be tired.

Also, simply to demonstrate our commitment to him as number 1 by boosting his wages. And to demonstrate to other players that we’ll do right by them when they progress even if we had them on longer terms.

Wanted to ask you in the other thread - you said you were 90% confident in Kinksy. What would get you to 100? I can’t think of something I need to see from him other than consistency across a season.

Love this for Kinksky. Ride the bench longer than he needed to. Seemingly almost sold / traded (????) has the horrible night in Madrid and bounces back to be a massive contributor to us staying up. I really like him, I think he has elite mentality, confidence and mental strength. He is great...

I’d say Gallagher is evidence of it. I’d also say being able to sign Senesi on a free is evidence of it. Certainly with Gallagher we competed with a current CL club and won it on wages. And that’s the factor that is going to swing most deals.

Put it this way, Bergval wants a move and I have no issue. It makes total sense. We’re looking at more experienced players, and he joined us thinking he was going to get more game time. With both players it’s a consequence of moving Levy out and having a new leadership group that is willing to...

If he wants to play football, he can take a loan for a year, prove himself in the PL. and then come back to us. No issue there. Equally, if he wants to bet on himself and leave the safety of being attached to Tottenham, and join Brighton, I don’t have an issue with that too. More power to him...

Ok? I’m absolutely fine not calling him a dingdong. He’s doing what he feels needs to be done to get him the money and the playing time he wants. But I don’t think we, as Spurs fans, need to be all understanding about that. He’s literally doing us down to further his own ends. If we didn’t offer...

The player himself is quoted and feeling the need to talk about being at a club that wants him. By implication saying that the club don’t. Trying to make us look like the villains in this tiny story. Again, I don’t begrudge him wanting to move to play. But the way he’s handling it is down to...

I imagine in offering a wage boost we’ve also asked for probably 2 or more years extra on the contract length right? And I think that’s where the issue comes in. He probably doesn’t want to give us any more years, because he feels like he doesn’t need us anymore. That’s what irks me. It not...

Ok you said it was lazy to blame money and now you’re saying it’s a factor. I believe that if all else was equal, and he got a wage boost at Spurs, he’d probably take a loan. It’s perfectly reasonable for the club to ask him to perform well on a PL loan and get the experience in this league...

The guy clearly thinks he’s destined for a super club of some description. I simply don’t believe he thinks he has more chance of starting at one of those if he can’t imagine a world where he gets in front of the options at Spurs. There will be competition anywhere. And I’m just not convinced...

Who’s to say he doesn’t get in front of Senesi in a year? Who’s to say we don’t plan on using Senesi more in the coming season because he’s an experienced head, but with European football likely the season after next and a recovered culture and more solid standing in the league, we’d be more...

My point isn’t that good lads can’t sometimes go to the dark side, more just that we praise plenty of players for not doing what Vuskovic is doing, or what Kane did in that moment. And I think most people saw Kane’s actions there as regrettable too, even if you could see his point that Levy’s...

Adults will. But we give plenty of credit to young lads who seem mature, don’t sound off in the press and talk like they have a ‘good head on their shoulders’ and so I think it’s fair criticism to think the ‘I want to be at a club that wants me’ is just a poor showing and quite regrettable.
