The 48 game run where we have failed to win a game when going behind started in 2024 under Ange. It’s then continued under 3 subsequent managers. But it is just one of those strange stats because not only have managers come and gone but also the players are very different now than they were at...

We need to be solid across the back 4 first and foremost. Today is the 3rd game we’ve conceded 3 goals this season and we have only played 6 games! And against a Villa team themselves struggling to score. Everything flows from a solid base.

I am in a minority here who still thinks Solanke can be decent. Then again watching him today, he was flat footed and seemingly unfit when running back. Definitely one who needs to up his fitness and game.

I agree with a lot of what you say but this is a new team pretty much. It's a very different team to which won the EL and arguably better than we had last season. So it's not the continuity that is killing us. It's the preparation, fitness and fitting square pegs in round holes. That's down to...

Vic had quite a few awful games last season and couldn't be trusted with the ball at his feet. Kinsky came in and earned that number 1 slot but it doesn't mean he won't have the odd bad game. For me, the issue is with those directly in front of him. Not good enough defensively unfortunately.

I really want to give RDZ a chance but we saw with Thomas Frank (and with Ange in the league) that once that negative spiral sets in it's very hard to come out of. Next 2 games are crucial. We cannot leave it like we did last season. This is where we need to be decisive rather than let the poor...

Im certain someone will post that we were the better side today and got unlucky.

I am as disgusted with RDZ now as I was grateful to him at the end of last season. This against a side struggling to score.

Strange signing. If we needed leadership should have kept Palhinha.

I think part of that is confidence. He showed at the tail end of last season that played regularly in the middle, he can do very well. Absolutely wasted in every sense as a right back.

Yeah I get the positivity. I'm tempering mine because although I didn't expect a win I did think we could sneak one (30% win chance as opposed to 15% usually). They were mostly playing youngsters and haven't had a great start themselves, plus have a new manager finding his feet. I definitely want...

I never thought we were going to win though. Plus I thought as Ive said before the performance lacked the aggression I've come to expect from RDZ teams.

I thought he was ok today. That run into the box and pass should have resulted in a goal.

For me one of the reasons we are not scoring is our lack of aggression and urgency. Too many touches moving the ball side to side. Not enough ball progression or pressing high up the pitch. Take Gallagher tonight, his greatest attribute is his energy and pressing. But there was none of that...
