    He said he'd want defoe in his team over cantona. I'm making the point that they are different types of players. I'd rather have a world class player for that type though.

    Because that season allen played a 9 and hoddle the 10. Defoe was a 9 and cantona a 10. So if he'd rather have defoe in his team than cantona, would he rather have allen than hoddle? If so fair enough. He scored a load of goals. If not fair enough.

    Reports are it's one year so doubtful. More likely we have cl revenue coming in so bolster the squad to make the most of it.

    Our spending this summer was in line with the previous two summers. Our debt has grown over that time. Including transfer debt. For all we know that's why levy was ousted. Spending money we didn't have then borrowing to cover it.

    Why would they care? As long as they got the money for their shares the club would no longer be their responsibility. It would be up to the new owners to do with as they please.
