Determining how to rank English clubs success and where Spurs would rank.

One point for a cup, two points for winning the league or champions league. 100 point bonus each for being the first club to win the FA cup as a non-league cup after football went professional, win the double after the league went fully national, and English club to win a European trophy.

Joe Lewis was good at that (allegedly).

    Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

There is the view that elite sport is about small marginal gains. Players playing just a fraction below their potential can have a large effect. Just not being fully engaged with the managers plan, concerns about their future, or personal problems at home can all have an influence.

    Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

It probably doesn't matter if he has or not, as long as the players believe there isn't one and they believe they are playing for a manager who will be their manager next season. That's the problem with an appointment like Tudors. Remember how Man Utd's form fell off when they thought Ferguson...

    Has Hutter been mentioned? https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/03/22/tottenham-hotspur-vs-nottingham-forest-live-score-updates/

I reckon the statue of Bill Nicholson can do a better job than Tudor.

Liverpool were average for total running, but fourth highest for sprints. What also can be hidden is different players doing different things. For instance, if Salah doesn't track back defensively his total running might bring the Liverpool total down, while he could have a high sprints...

    Interim manager thread 2.0

No one's mentioned Sol Campbell. He always complains about lack of opportunities and this could be it. And if he did take us down, it would add to his legacy in our Hall of Infamy.

    AFCON 2025

If it was against the rules the game should not have restarted. When a referee makes mistakes that's the end of it. Are they going to litigate referees decisions that decide a match? If Morocco had won they would have accepted the result on the field rather than declare the match a forfeit...

They may have decided that Tudor was better value for money.

The *WHEN* we go down thread

The press are loving the story about us getting relegated, but no one has mentioned that our chances of survival improved this weekend. We lost, but so did all the teams around us. Most significantly the gaps to Forest and West Ham remained the same and they have one less game to close the gap...

    VAR: Sponsored by Chelsea

His hand is in a natural position for wrestling the player to the ground, which is clearly his intent. So accidental handball.

    VAR: Sponsored by Chelsea

The simplest reform would be to go back to the original idea that VAR is to correct clear and obvious errors and get rid of the long reviews. If it is clear and obvious, then it should be possible to make the decision in 30s. If it takes multiple looks and slow motion then it isn't clear and...
