I was amused to hear De Zerbi say that he loves Scottish players

I see that Lange was quoted on the official site in the announcement piece.

Indeed. Huge difference between De Zerbi saying he's a dream signing and really wants him to the actual reality of us making a big enough bid to player and Saudi Sportswashing Machine that is acceptable and not then exceeded by another club.

100% If Guehi cost £20m with 6 months to go (though that was right at the end of the window) I cannot see us making an opening bid of £70m for Van Hecke

The BBC have finally reported this and have said that our bid was £70 million. I've not seen that anywhere else. Van Hecke is simply mentioned as being valued at £70 million.

Senesi at the top of that list is encouraging too.

I've not seen very much of Van Hecke and think maybe he's playing in a slightly risky environment at Brighton with the style they adopt. But he seems to be good in the air and naturally be one that moves forward rather than instinctively being defensive - which is maybe an odd thing to say about...

    J P van Hecke

He and Senesi are two of the defenders trying to play the most aggressive, forward, ambitious passes to progress play rather than knocking it around conservatively. If those two are partnered together, it absolutely opens the door for a slightly less creative central midfield (hence a role for...

Two van men at the back eh? Them, Danso, Senesi and Vuskovic seems a bit much for a campaign without Europe so maybe we'll see another sale or Luka being loaned again. There's a Dutch journalist saying he's open to a move to us

    Savinho

Yeah. Paul O'Keefe was posting some claim about the salary that Savinho will be on at Spurs.

The way De Zerbi uses those same players could lead to different outcomes than under Frank & Tudor
