The Current State of Spurs (and some sympathy for Thomas Frank)

They are brick though. They've never worked - the ribbing gets clogged up in about 2 seconds and the boots fall apart in about 10. They had great marketing, but they've never been a players' boot

What would YOUR priority signing be in the Jan transfer window?

With Dragusin i just think Danso has replaced him (and is HG), we need a path for Vuskovic next season, and Takai can cover in the interim. But its mainly in the context of Roma apparently being willing to pay up now. I imagine Biss will sign a pre-contract to get a full signing on fee. And he...

Just they are nepo babies who have never really done anything in their own right. She's known for being Craig Johnson's WAG and using daddy's money to fund his Predator boot folly. And he's just be largely absent for decades being a playboy in Argentina. Its not like they've had substantive...

We've also gone from someone who knew what he was doing (30 years in the game, including Prague and Rangers as steps up to us), to someone who used her trust fund to support her husband's crap design football boots, and someone who used his trust fund to tinkle it all against the wall in Argentine...

What would YOUR priority signing be in the Jan transfer window?

It will be a good sign if we pull in say £50m from Johnson and Dragusin quite early doors this window, and use that to fund a LW and LB.

Might as well do it now if that's the case. No one cares who will be on the bench when USA whimper out to Paraguay and Australia.

What do you mean support team - i thought he brought all the coaches he wanted with him, plus there was someone medical or nutrition-y too? I wouldnt use some of those other excuses yet either. The Paratici (probably tabloid BS) and Semenyo (was always going to go higher up the foodchain)...

Would we then not end up with Gray, Bergvall, Sarr and Mainoo (and Bentancur) all best suited to playing 8, so some having to play in secondary positions of DM and 10? It kind of exacerbates our current imbalance.

Yeah, i thought it was good, but not that good. Sinners is miles better of the two prime awards contenders

For some reason I just can't shake off my association of Vivienne and Charlie Lewis as Connie and Fredo Corleone

    Thomas Frank’s coaching staff

I sense that's what we need. A challenge for Frank to rise to, or someone to grab the wheel from him. A potential Jol for a potential Santini. Or maybe just a Bentley for a Lennon

    Thomas Frank’s coaching staff

I wonder if we could get a big presence/profile replacement in? A Carrick, Huddlestone or someone like Gary Rowlett? We'll likely promote Defoe or someone though i imagine

Or we've just still got a manager problem?

A bit less connection. He'd been part of the furniture for more than half my life and i genuinely believe he had the best interests at heart. Its hard though to ignore the series of catrosthropic managerial decisions he made from 2019 onwards, which have seen us plummet fro a top 3 club to a...
