World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

You really think Maddison or Grealish are not those type of players? Even Foden before his recent downturn? Really? The best midfielders can do BOTH; we don't marvel at Messi because of his sideways passing but his ability to drop a shoulder, go past a man via a dribble and create space in a...

Shame for the guy really....maybe his age and wages have priced many out... Still, probably should have gone to the World cup tbh

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

You really don't see MGW or Wharton (or Grealish or even Maddison) as those type of players? Ok, so we can be clear how your judging who fits that bill, apart from Messi, who are those type of players for Argentina? Who is that for France? Anderson isn't that? Maddison isn't that? Palmer...

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

Yet again, you're refusing to acknowledge the players Tuchel decided to leave out of the squad: MGW, Wharton and Palmer are all players with technique and who can play possession games and link play. Ditto Trent, Grealish. Heck, one might even say Maddison. Those previous losses weren't because...

Exactly who are the kind of passers you are referring to? As in which of these types of passers were in the semi-final teams? I assume you'll put Messi in the list, ok. But who else is there? I'd say most teams play the way England do tbh I'd say England were dominating midfield vs Argentina...

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

As i said in the post above, England have gotten to 4 semiu-finals out of last 5 tournaments. Not technically at the levels of Spain perhaps but certainly technically equal to Argentina minus Messi. All this 'lost because of lack of technical skills' is just giving Tuchel an easy excuse

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

I disagree. MGW and Wharton are excellent passers and have shown they can play under pressure/tight spaces. Heck, even Maddison and Grealish have such qualities to certain extent. Any of those players would have helped yesterday, to at least keep some possession and aligned with some pace on...

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

When a manager doesn't pick many of the technical players at his disposal (MGW, Palmer, Trent, Wharton etc) he is adding extra problems by himself. In the past we absolutely can claim players 'can't keep the ball' etc, but Tuchel doesn't have the luxury of that excuse now
