    We want a manager to come in and do well and the three mentioned are the standout examples in recent history - if our next manager brings 2-3+ seasons of good performances & improvement on the pitch then that will be a good return, if it then ends in tears after that then c'est la vie - move on...

    It has generally been managers who have shown promise at lower level clubs who have 'succeeded' here - Poch, Redknapp, Jol - whereas it is the managers with track records at dominant clubs who have floundered
