Hope would be that by coming off it’s prevented it from being a worse injury.
My concern with Maddison is that he is effectively a Ledley King at this point where you have to count him as a bonus player.

He's nearly 30 and in the last 18 months of his contract, so I don't think we'll be relying on him for 4-5 years like that, like we were with King. We've also got the younger models ready to slot into that position with Kulu, Simons and LWB.

I have very few memories of him playing as a number 10.

I'm hoping he maintains the Fernandez / Tonali double pivot and keeps Tel and Kudus in the wide areas. What he does with Solanke, Marmoush, Madds and Gallagher in the 9 and 10 positions has a bunch of variables that we're not privy to. It will also be based on the opposition.
Kinsky, Dubravka, Porro, Gray, JPVH, VSDV, Senesi, Robbo, Udogie, Davies, Bergval, Gallagher, Madds, Kulu, Kudus, Tel, LWB, Marmoush, Solanke.
That's 19 of the players listed on the 1st team squad page. I reckon that just leaves a slot for Olusesi to add depth in midfield.
