*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur FC vs Manchester United ***

Thought both had very very imposing games on Saturday
And for young players that ain’t easy

There was at least one instance I remember where Bergval steamed in to win the ball right on the edge of the box, I remember thinking last season or even a few weeks ago it was the sort of thing he was a little bit late to, hopefully a good sign that he can be trusted more in this system.

He did that for Solanke first chance
I think and hope that the recent international break may have really helped him

That aligns with what I was thinking
His fitness this season and been bad
I also wonder with players who have had a lot of injuries how much faith they have in their bodies
Players talk about it all the time and I think we’re seeing a fitter bentacur for example because he knows he is no longer broken
Does Solanke feel like that?
Maddison can’t feel fit with his set backs
Hard to know for sure

Absolutely, and to that end I suppose it is harsh to say Solanke's mentality is not quite right. He has his own personality and I think it's clear he is a different fish to, for example, Bentancur. And yes, to say one cares more than the other would be wrong for sure. I see Solanke and can actually see he is suffering with confidence and all of it, as well as (as you suggest) his own physical fitness. I think what De Zerbi is doing is really good, and between that, what we achieved at Old Trafford after falling into a place of similar adversity, and the Spanish pow-wow going down now, I think we will soon reap the benefits of building this 'culture' within the group.

I’m just going by his touch and his first time finishing and technique that we have seen him demonstrate early in his Spurs career and prior to it. He has more than he is showing, I am sure of it.

The one thing he cannot do is learn where to arrive/be in the 6-9 yard zones of the box. He is not really a 'sniffer' or a poacher, and the way we are creating offers chances galore for that sort of striker (imagine a peak Defoe feeding off those crosses/cutbacks). Might well be why we were so gung-ho on Kroupi...

My fear is that we totally dominate possession with our midfield, and United eventually leaves us to do that and just sling a ball ver the top for Mbuemo to run in behind and punish us.

This is a game for Solanke to step up for us. He often has in the past vs Man Utd and hopefully he can get his shooting boots on tomorrow...

Well, erm.....

Very happy with the point in the end, obviously frustrated it should have easily been 3...

Narrative is another, it's now just synonymous for "An opinion I don't agree with"

It may be in some cases, I personally don't think Solanke or Richarlson were good enough to provide what we need but I don't feel the need to post multiple repetitive messages virtually daily.
We all rate players differently but hopefully most support Spurs and their players and should get behind them rather than revel in their shortcomings.

How did Senesi play on Saturday?
He played well. Read the game well, always got the space right between himself, Van Hecke and Udogie and used the ball really well.

There was one scary moment when a ball went over the top and he got in a foot race with Mbuemo when he had a good 5 yard start on Mbuemo but looked like he was running in treacle and Mbuemo almost got in but other than that he was a very calm and assured in everything he did. I think Kinsky will have to make sure he is aware and has a high starting position when our defence have pushed up to the halfway line if Van Der Ven or Toisin aren't playing as one of the two CBs.
