*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur FC vs Manchester United ***

I mean...sorry. He HAS the players, just fudging PLAY THEM WHERE THEY WORK and PLAY THE IN-FORM ONES and PLAY THE ONES WITH SOME VIBE AND SPIRIT!!!!

Play Tel at CF instead of Solanke.
Play Savio off the left with Udogie or Roberto's given license to go outside.
Play Kudus off the right
Play Marmoush as a 'second striker/10' off Tel
Play Tonali and Fernandes TOGETHER
Look to PASS QUICKLY
Look to put balls in over the top sometimes (I'm looking at JPVH)

I'd best stop...

I woke up this morning with that same feeling you get on your first day back at work after a lovely holiday, I genuinely don’t even know what to expect today, more of the same or has the break acted as a reset.

……………………….Kinksy………………………….
Gray………….Tosin/vH………vdV…………..Udogie
………………………Fernandes…………………….
……...Bergvall/Maddison………..Tonali…………. Kudus………………………………………..Savio
…………………….Marmoush……………………..

So this basically....

Kinsky
Gray, JPvH, VDV, Udogie
Tonali, Fernandez
Kudus, Marmoush, Savio
Tel

Noticed as well that Bents was playing in Asia this last week. Last game on the 6th in India. Even though it's easier flying west and he only played an hour, he could well be rested. The challenge with your line-up is that guys like Gallagher and Solanke didn't travel at all. They might be selected because they are the freshest.

Apart from the natural Porro exclusion, I do like your line-up.

Seconded! He seems weary to me...I mean, have we fudging 'wearied out' De Zerbi? I am not seeing much fire or energy...which is what we need right now (alongside a goal or few)...
The downbeat thing is a real worry for me. These players need energy and optimism - and they certainly don't need a constant stream of excuses for under performance.

I remember watching RDZ on the sideline when we played Brighton at home and thinking that he was getting on like a right tit - he was Arteta-like in his constant berating of officials, and in his running up and down the touchline. I left the ground that day thinking that I hoped he'd never be our manager because I didn't like his antics.

We seem to have got the opposite version of that De Zerbi, though, at a time when we actually need a bit of what he was providing then.

He was obviously keen to have an extended break after Marseille; it was only our despearation (through our offer of pots of money) that brought him back quickly. I wonder if he is already regretting that decsion.

Tonight feels massive to me. I am really hoping it is a Poch v Aston Villa in November 2014 moment.

My fear is that we totally dominate possession with our midfield, and United eventually leaves us to do that and just sling a ball ver the top for Mbuemo to run in behind and punish us.

This is a game for Solanke to step up for us. He often has in the past vs Man Utd and hopefully he can get his shooting boots on tomorrow...
This is exactly how I predict it will be. We will as usual dominate, but fire blanks, and united will murder us on the counter.

I'm not sure he has got the players, but he is the main architect of this squad, he's chosen to go with a crap keeper, crap centre backs and crap forwards whilst letting better players leave or just leave them out of the squad.

I think United will smash us this evening.

Its amazing how much the game has changed or at least perceptions, I remember a time you signed someone for relatively big money and the excitement to see what they can do......often or not you saw something, I mean even Ndombele scored on debut against Villa haha.

Now you expect to see even the tiniest spark and people act like you are being unreasonable

N’dombele was a single signing brought into a very, very good team. Fernandes is a young part of a giant overhaul of the whole club. Literally everyone needs time at this point.

and don't play Archie at right-back

All well and good, but combined we have near 300m of players that all so far we have heard are excuses. Not being funny mate, for some of the fees there is a level of expecting some hitting of the ground.

We are rock bottom, giving week off to players and hearing "need time".......

Just seems like if RDZ lost his job tomorrow he would have a great career updating Southern Rails twitter page

That's the problem with not buying PL proven players, oh wait
Forget cost or PL proven, changing that many players at once will take time and patience.

It was just one example TBF, I would expect some impact from neqr 300m spent on 3 players though and stand by it.

Something to get excited about at this point by a break out performance will do...

We need a performance. A 90 minute performance.

I think RDZ is creating his own problems because his signings haven't been good enough. He needs to find the younger players that want to play, and get Barnett in. Can't keep struggling and keep playing struggling players.

Challenge some players to go prove themselves and take a senior spot

Same. I'm gone from "OH YESSSS! GET IN! IT'S MATCH DAY AGAIN!" to "Oh nooooo! I have to watch Spurs embarrass themselves again. Damn..."

Everyone going on and on about LWB, what if he doesn’t hit the ground running? What if he is poor for 2 or 3 games? People then start saying he was rushed, he wasn’t ready etc etc. Pinning your hopes on a young lad with very little experience is not a good idea IMO. Look at Dowman at Arsenal, he is supposed to be the next great hope and even in a winning team he is getting the occasional cup game or 10 minutes off of the bench and some would say he is way more advanced in his development than LWB.

good point

that it's even a consideration shows what a terrible situation we are in, after such a SeRiOUz cLu8 summer too

I think most would take Max Dowman levels of integration into the squad
