ENIC

Back to the Bloomberg interview , at the time Levy said as the stadium had turned out so much better than expected the THS name was getting known worldwide and they "had seen another value" in the name THS and that naming rights were no longer a priority unless the right offer came along. Of course with most of the old guard now gone ENIC may have changed on that view.

Personally I think that’s just spin because they couldn’t secure naming rights. I don’t know how you would put monetary value on the “Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium” whereas naming rights would give us something tangible.

Have to assume that the intangible assets of the THS name were worth more than tangible assets of naming rights.
As Levy said if the right offer came in they would consider it, if the THS name is worth say £15 million a year why accept anything less , (Levy)/ENIC/Tavistock Group do know what they are doing when it comes to finances, far more than your average football fan or journalist looking for a story.

PS Should clarify , when it comes to commercial revenue ENIC are excellent , football finances like having to pay off managers etc they are very poor.

It is exactly that. We even recruited an expert from the US explicitly to try to get naming rights. The problem was there was a big difference in the offers coming in (about £15m per season) and the demand (about £25m per season). We could’ve paid off close to £100m of the debt by now.

The more I look at this season, the more I find the complete chaos and lack of leadership at boardroom level to be damning (and I wasn't exactly quiet or unaware to start with!).

This managerial change is a fine example. Had they bothered to listen to Paratici, we'd have made the obvious move right as the January window was starting and allowed Tudor the chance to get a couple of short-term loanees in to help steer through the season. Instead, we wait until 2 weeks after the window has shut to make this move. Pathetic!!!! We effectively semi-f uck two managers; Frank and Tudor. Fools!

How we acted in the window was incredible really.

The higher uppers seem to be in complete denial of the situation.

What Lange said yesterday about buying players that improve the squad long term is 100 percent correct, if we were 10th, we are 16th with an ever decreasing gap to 18th, it's all about short term I'm afraid.

I still don't believe there wasn't a single player out there that could have improved our situation, even on loan in Jan.

What gives you any confidence that they noticed or cared?

Maybe we should have given Dele Alli a 6 month deal? 29 and would be club trained for europe

The decline in squad quality is on them. We’ve bought so badly for a long time.

We are in deep brick. We look done. No fight.
Think we drop.

I’ve been thinking we’re toast since the West Ham game, we lack gonads and fight. This lot have had terrible recruitment all over the shop, players and staff, they’ve downgraded us fully to relegation levels.

I’m almost paying more attention to Forest and West Hand results than ours now. We have more chance of them dropping points than us gaining them. We need one of them to hit a real low again and knock all the fight out of them. M
Our players don’t have it in them to keep themselves up.
That’s the problem , watching them both this weekend has worried me. They look up for a fight. We just got battered.

West game should already be above us tbh, the very late United goal is what’s saving us. That and yesterday they could have easily beat Bournemouth too.

It wouldn’t surprise me whatsoever if they beat Liverpool next.

How we did not do more in Jan window was poor from ENIC. Oh well. Dinner will not be spoiled I’m numb to this club now. Took a while.
