We are pleased to confirm the appointment of Igor Tudor as Men’s Head Coach until the end of the season, subject to work permit.

Igor joins us with a clear focus: to improve performances, deliver results and move us up the Premier League table. His mandate is straightforward – bring organisation, intensity and competitive edge to the squad at a decisive stage of the campaign.

Speaking about his arrival, Igor said: “It is an honour to join this Club at an important moment.

“I understand the responsibility I have been handed and my focus is clear. To bring greater consistency to our performances and compete with conviction in every match.

“There is strong quality in this playing squad, and my job is to organise it, energise it and improve our results quickly.”

On the appointment, Sporting Director Johan Lange said: “Igor brings clarity, intensity and experience of stepping into challenging moments and producing impact.

“Our objective is straightforward – to stabilise performances, maximise the quality within the squad and compete strongly in the Premier League and Champions League.”

A Serie A title-winner with Juventus as a player and former Croatia international, Igor has regularly delivered improvements following mid-season appointments.

After spells with a range of clubs including Galatasaray, Udinese, Hajduk Split and Hellas Verona, Igor led Marseille to a third-place Ligue 1 finish in 2022/23, securing Champions League qualification.

In March 2024, he joined Lazio, delivering a strong finish to their Serie A campaign to secure Europa League qualification, and most recently at Juventus, guided them to the Champions League having arrived in March 2025.

I dont get this appointment at all. I will sit back and hope for the best. Another waste of a season.

We will if we are lucky barely scrape not getting relegated. Got nowhere in both cup competitions. And next season we will have no europe for a bloated squad. We jump from one kind of manager to another.

This appointment is what is is. Uninspiring.

It’s a wasted season because of a terrible appointment last summer and being too afraid to accept the mistake and sack him before Christmas.

Who were you expecting by the way?

to be honest I had no expectations. I am at my lowest eb as a spurs supporter. And that is saying something. We have had some terrible teams in my time, some terrible players. But I always had hope. After last seasons league dross and now this. Its painful to watch this team. Every game we are comical in defense with so called star players. Limp up front and just plain bad.

We have always had one or two Star players. But currently we have none. No Ginola, No Bale, No Kane, No Gazza. Who is our star player? or players? none of them. This is all about our recruiting. We either have a well structured team or we have some star players and go for it. For a club that is in the top 10 in terms of turnover, sky high ticket prices, we need to giving more in wages. No more dross. Signing Gallagher appitimized this. A player we did not need who is above average.

Everyone seems to want poch to come back. But I am not sure on this. It seems like we are trying to turn back time. We hit a hot moment then. Kane came into the team, Son matured, Dele was amazing, Eriksen and Dyer playing amazing and with Dembele. We dont have that team now. we simply have no goals in this team. Kudus is our best player up front and he is not a goal getter at all.

I think I was hoping for Alonso. Someone who can build a strucured team. But I was not sold on that either. I am waiting for this club to lift me instead of pulling me along the ground.

Yea I mean I wanted Alonso as well, but being realistic there was like a 1% chance of that.

The season is pretty much a write off at this stage we just needed someone to get us through to summer and stay in this league, then go again with a new manager.

They really wouldn’t, no one was clamoring for Frank before he arrived last season. But even if they were it doesn’t alter the FACT it was a terrible appointment !
Erm, yes they were. He was always in the same conversation as Iraola etc.
The outcome has been poor, but the appointment wasn't. It should have worked.
