ENIC

Base income generation is key though. It genuinely (beyond Man U type mismanagement) puts a floor underneath you. Few clubs, especially the ones who have aspirations to take our place, have that. You then rely on good decision making and/or lucking out with a manager. That can work but is susceptible to falling apart as the decision making slips, a manager gets poached, or just the natural end of a cycle.

The middling clubs Bournemouth Brentford Brighton etc can be well run BUT end up being stripped of their best players so end up in that feeder club cycle.

The league is hotting up but its only Liverpool and Arsenal that look nailed on to be Top 5 finishers in recent seasons.

THats why Saudi Sportswashing Machine and VIlla keep crying about PSR, because they don't generate money off the pitch and want to be able to load cash in like the old days of doping.

we have better foundations though, Villa, and more recently forest have been championship teams, you can't just shrug that off in a few years

Saudi Sportswashing Machine is interesting, as all the money they supposedly have isn't moving the needle for them as quickly as it did at City and Chelsea, I think there is more to that than the sustainability rules

I think thats down to the last thing Staveley moaned about, that there is no revenue streams and viability for extra in Saudi Sportswashing Machine. Its very limited and impacts their financial flexibility.

THey will also always just be Saudi Sportswashing Machine too, shown in the Isak deal

Interesting to see where both Billie as CFT and the Trust land in all this

It’s a one club city, they’re irrelevant outside of Saudi Sportswashing Machine. Probably why their fan base is soo deluded as well, all they read locally is how great they are..

And it’s exactly why I’ve been told, repeatedly, by experts on Saudi that the owners have lost interest and have moved on
If you watched the Eddie Hearn doc on Netflix you can see how they operate and they can’t do that in footy
They don’t want any controls or limitations which they have there

I haven't watched any of that, I have a natural dislike for the Hearns. Is it worth a watch?

Think it might be more reactionary. Ok we won a trophy last season but we were far from the 6th best team last season in england.
Saudi Sportswashing Machine and villa started getting regular cl. Forest getting el. We could be back to being a midtable team again.
Stadium or not that would wipe a huge amount off our value.
I don't think we'll need to worry about Forest too much this season.

I rarely watch these things and this one was no exception usual contradictions and rubbish spoken . Nothing to do with ENIC but would just like to know about Steve's medical knowledge , he questioned Muani's dead leg , according to Steve when he was at school when you played football and got a dead leg you just shook your leg about a bit and was back playing in about 10 minutes , if only he went to the training ground and told the medical staff that was the cure.. :):):):):):)
And the school teachers both seem to be high level financial experts on the state of the nation, where do they find these people.

Maybe Steve needs a little reminder of Christian Ziege's dead leg

As usual they were complaining about ENIC's pricing of match tickets and the diminishing senior citizen discount , I have just booked a couple of tickets for Cirque du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall in January, no offer of a discount for my advanced age, £134 for each ticket and a £26.80 booking fee !!!!!!!! and that was through the Albert Hall ticket office not some 3rd party.

Ticket prices are based on demand and supply. The only way the price comes down is if people stop buying them.
