Henry was a winger. Bale was an lb. Sol campbell a striker.

DCL was the number 9 at Everton. Richi was always in the channels unless DCL was injured. RIchi also a left channel player at Watford.

Neymar, Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr and Raphina don't play 9. They play in the wider channels. I think Rchi adjusted for his country who also had Bobby Firminho to lead the line. He has played well in his 50 caps to be fair.

I think Richi can play both positions, but I would lean more to a left forward as his best position. Perhaps that changes as he gets older. I don't have a problem with us using him as a 9 though.

Stevie never claimed to be a striker, nor was he ever expected to be. When played as an attacking midfielder his role was principally as a ball-winner, supplying the striker and other forwards with ammunition. His rapacious sliding tackles were a thing of beauty throughout his long career.

He is average is both positions because he has become a jack of all

Read the stats. In his total career he has played more games as striker than lw.
If you want to disagree take it up with transfermarkt.

Just think if we are going to discuss things we should try and keep to the facts.

He has now
He hadn’t when we signed him and I don’t think the data is right
I’ve seen him for years at Everton and Watford too and he was not a striker at either club except in emergencies at Everton
