There will be much to write (and say) in the coming days and weeks, but for now let's acknowledge not just the win, but the fact that THIS Tottenham Hotspur is brave, focussed, and able to win when it counts. I mean, when it REALLY counts.

I hope with all my heart we take advantage of this opportunity to continue building and growing it.

It was the putting it all out there performance it had to be, not about pretty, about getting it done.

From a player perspective for me it's two things

- Son getting the reward for the loyalty of being an elite player that gave us his career, and he will no longer have an * next to his name
- Gray, Bergvall, Moore, Udogie, Sarr, Johnson, Spence, Wilson will not have the monkey of no trophy on their back that a whole generation of Spurs players did.

It's a big trophy, chance to push on from here .. but still .. lets just enjoy for a little bit more

Eff them! One reason I stood with Ange is that he gave it back to them. Called them out on it. They should be effing ashamed. Bloody biased hating media. Spurs should give it back hot to every single one of them. They have enabled some of the crap treatment this club, players, staff and fans have received.
Spurs' table and cup shall continue to overflow in the presence of our enemies.

Rather than enjoying the win, you have to write brick like this and then wonder why you get pelters?

I cannot believe the ex pundits who said “United will win because, as a club, they just win trophies and Tottenham don’t”. What lazy, pathetic punditry.

Scholes, Keane and Carragher were all at it. Carragher went as far as to say we had “no chance” of beating United in a European final.

I’m not saying they should have predicted us to win or anything, it was a tight game. But to base your prediction on historic achievements by a club that is not recognisable anymore was mind boggling. This is a dreadful Man Utd team and their biggest star didn’t turn up. How those pundits didn’t see that as a possibility, nay probability, is unbelievable.

& The fact we had already beaten them 3 times this season. nope we are definitely going to lose fudge em we are Europa cup winners & them clams can't take that away

I think the tone of my post has probably masked the meaning of what I meant for some (in fairness to myself it was a 4am kick off, I haven’t had any sleep and it’s now 4pm)

I mean people are going to try and degrade this win. Tell us it means nothing when we all know that’s not true. It’s time to pull up the drawbridge and go full siege mentality. No longer Spurs the club who has the tinkle taken out of them at every opportunity.

Not sure I got any pelters though

That's the thing right. I have my own opinions and they haven't changed, but there's a time and a place and I'm not touching that "Ange Out" thread for a good while. There's enough utter cr*p we've gone through this season and that WILL need dissecting in the coming weeks and months but f***ing hell being a spurs fan is f**king difficult let's just bask for a bit ....

I don't want to really talk about Ange but analysing the game is fair. I'm guessing we lost on every stat except the one that matters. I think we deserved the clean sheet though. Apart from the hangover, this morning feels great.
