The UK public has now raised over £30m, you can donate £5 through your phone bill by texting CRISIS to 7000, be good if all of us on this board could do this, it all helps...

Ikea has donated more than China has, doesnt surprised me really

Going on holiday there next August, should be fun. Hong Kong and Brisbane too.. whole month away. Hopefully they have sorted there $hit out by the time I go. ;)

But yeah terrible situation at the minute. Gave a bullseye earlier in the week, or the Mrs did.

Anyway, to clarify

My lady is a Pediatric nurse, her very good friend moved to Brisbane about 5 years ago. Next August her friend is going to a small town which has a population of around 2000 people. It is part of a charity she is head of in Brisbane. Her friend is originally from that area, but grew up in London and basically trained at the same Hospital as the Mrs. We were going to Brisbane anyway to visit them, then they came back and said she was spending two weeks in the Phillipines in August so we changed our travel arrangements to coincide with theirs, then I had the bright idea of maybe spending a week with them doing whatever was needed, which in turn has now grown into raising money to take medicines with us so that we can immunise children of that town (around 400).. we will no doubt be doing other projects run by my wifes friends charity.
The sorted their $hite was aimed at so we can do the above. Not to take advantage of their hospitality!

So again :ross:

We donated money to the red cross this week and also children in need, the weirdo chelsea fan who i took on for work dressed as a dog with face paint, im not sure why but im always happy to give for sick children.

I donate each year to guide dogs for the blind and the lifeboat association two charities close to my heart. My father was a lifetime supporter of the lifeboat association despite growing up in Wood Green. I never like to say how much i give to charity because i feel it belittles what your trying to do and everyone should just give what they are comfortable with.

Seeing the pictures out there you can not be moved but what they are going through. I think the west is far better at responding quickly to these disasters then in the past and i think what your doing superhudd is great because though they might need help now they will also need long term help down the next few years.
