Yep nasty piece of work and no doubt he will make a come back again in the future. Most other proffesions you fudge up and your are not given the chance to do it again.

I have often wondered how some people like Yeo get to the top and get seconds chances, as i have gotten older and gained a bit more confidence in business sitautions i come to the conclusion that the world is basically full of confidence tricksters on the make. Including pretty much all the politicans.

Gordi i remember you saying a few years ago you had not watched the Wire. I think it was summed up well in that t.v. sseriess on whether it is dodgy people going into politics or whether the process of government can turn good people bad. Do not include Yeo in the latter, he is just another archer waiting to happen.

Had to feel for Carchetti (sp?). He had all the right intentions but first day as mayor and it was clear that he wouldn't be making the decisions.

Not surprising. He should never of had the position of chairman of the commons energy and climate change commitee when he had various interests in green energy businesses and also his chairmanship of the Renewable Energy Association. Conflict of interests didn't seem to apply to him or his pals. Trougher Tim.

Referring yourself to the parliamentary standards commissioner seems to be very de rigueur in Westminster at the moment. Presumably that involves lamenting getting caught and promising to not do it again (get caught, that is).
