QPR eh... I don't suppose whilst we were chatting, we enquired about Eze?

Eberechi Oluchi Eze is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Queens Park Rangers. Because Eze is of Nigerian ancestry he has previously trained with Nigeria's national team. Wikipedia

Born: 29 June 1998 (age 20 years), Greenwich

Height: 1.73 m
Current teams: Queens Park Rangers F.C. (#10 / Midfielder)

Makes me think of:

There's a guy in the place who's got a bittersweet face
And he goes by the name of Ebeneezer Goode
His friends call him 'Ezeer and he is the main geezer
And he'll vibe up the place like no other man could

He's refined, sublime, he makes you feel fine
Though very much maligned and misunderstood
But if you know 'Ezeer he's a real crowd pleaser
He's ever so good, he's Ebeneezer Goode

You can see that he's mischievous, mysterious and devious
When he circulates amongst the people in the place
But once you know he's fun, and something of a genius
He gives a grin that goes around from face to face to face

Backwards and then forwards, forwards and then backwards
'Eezer is the geezer who loves to muscle in
That's about the time the crowd all shout the name of 'Eezer
As he's kotcheled in the corner, laughing by the bass bin

'Eezer Goode 'Eezer Goode He's Ebeneezer Goode
'Eezer Goode 'Eezer Goode He's Ebeneezer Goode
'Eezer Goode 'Eezer Goode He's Ebeneezer Goode
'Eezer Goode 'Eezer Goode He's Ebeneezer Goode
He's Ebeneezer Goode

Ebeneezer Goode, leading light of the scene, know what I mean?
He created the vibe - He takes you for a ride as if by Design
The party ignites like it's comin' alive
He takes you to the top, shakes you all around

Then back down - you know as he gets mellow
Then as smooth as the groove that is making you move
He glides into your mind with a sunny "Hello!"
A gentleman of leisure he's there for your pleasure

But go easy on old 'Ezeer he's the love you could lose
Extraordinary fellow, like Mr Punchinello
He's the kind of geezer who must never be abused
When you're in town and Ebeneezer is around

You can sense a presence in the sound of the crowd
He gets them all at it, the party starts rocking, the people get excited
It's time to shout loud

'Eezer Goode 'Eezer Goode He's Ebeneezer Goode
'Eezer Goode 'Eezer Goode He's Ebeneezer Goode
'Eezer Goode 'Eezer Goode He's Ebeneezer Goode
'Eezer Goode 'Eezer Goode He's Ebeneezer Goode
He's Ebeneezer Goode
He's Ebeneezer Goode
'Eezer Goode 'Eezer Goode
'Eezer Goode 'Eezer Goode
He's Ebeneezer Goode

That's good. Didnt see him getting much game time at Spurs next year. He needs a full season and prove himself, rather than just train and not playing

He'd be better staying in the EPL - he looked good enough last year. I suppose at QPR he can still do a day a week training with us arrangement

I could see him at somewhere like Norwich or Sheff United

I'd forgotten about Warburton being at QPR - he has a record of being our 'go to' person (along with Kenny Jackett) for sending out loanees at Brentford and Rangers.

Norwich and Sheff United are going to be fighting tooth and nail for survival, there is basically zero chance they take an academy prospect from us and play him regularly in the centre of their team.

Neither need that player. They need more.

They also both have established set ups with a decent team and system in place. They will be looking to strengthen, of course, but Amos wouldnt represent that.

Think we might see someone go on loan to Fulham too, Parker knows some of the player from his coaching spell, it looks like he wants to try and set his team up to play football, it’s close enough for them to still train with us once a week and it may sweeten any Sessegnon deal.

Academy coaching update
We are pleased to announce the appointments of Matt Taylor, Ryan Mason and Nigel Gibbs to our Academy coaching team, with existing members of staff Chris Riley and Troy Archibald-Henville assuming revised roles to support the older players in the Academy.

An experienced former midfielder, Matt has enjoyed an extensive playing career that has taken him across the Premier League and Football League structure, representing Luton Town, Portsmouth, Bolton Wanderers, West Ham United, Burnley, Northampton Town and, most recently, Swindon Town, where he served as a player-coach. The 37-year-old joins us full-time as our new Under-18s Coach.

Former England international midfielder Ryan needs no introduction. A product of our Academy system, he established himself as a key player in our first team under Mauricio Pochettino, making 70 appearances and scoring four goals, before joining Hull City in 2016. Following his injury-enforced retirement as a player, the 28-year-old has been regularly involved alongside our Academy staff on youth team matchdays over the last year while working through his coaching badges. He now officially joins us as Academy Coach, with responsibility for our Under-19 UEFA Youth League side.

Former Watford defender and experienced coach Nigel returns to us as Assistant Head of Player Development, Under-17 to Under-23. Nigel has previously worked with us in a similar role, around senior coaching appointments at Leeds United, Millwall, Swansea City and Reading.

Chris is a former apprentice and young professional with us, who returned a number of years ago as a sports science intern and became the fitness coach for our Under-18s. He is now working his way through his coaching licences and will support our coaching team alongside his existing role.

Fellow Academy product Troy returned to us last year in a part-time coaching role, having represented Exeter City, Swindon Town and Carlisle United during his professional playing career. He now moves to a full-time position, where he will continue to work with our younger age groups but will additionally be responsible for taking senior Academy players from the Under-18s and Under-23s under his wing in a pastoral development role.

John McDermott, Head of Academy Coaching and Player Development, said of the new appointments: “We have always tried to assemble a blend of staff who know what the demands of the game are at the highest level. It’s also important to have a mix of experience through internal promotions and external appointments, including coaches who have recently retired and are current with the modern player, plus coaches who have been in the cauldron of professional football – not just Academy football – and can pass on their wisdom of what the real game expects in terms of behaviour and performance. All five of these members of staff understand the incredible standards set for young and senior players at this club and they will be invaluable in driving our players to become the best young men and players that they can be. Four of these staff have spent many years at the Club and know how we function. Only Matt is completely new to the fold, so the experience for the players will be seamless.”

Former Portsmouth player Matt Taylor also appointed for the U18s, along with Troy Archibald-Henville in a support role! How old could he be? Blast from the past.

Pochettino also bumped up the numbers in training - with many of his summer internationals absent - by selecting some talented players from the development squad to join in including Troy Parrott, Jack Roles, Harvey White, Anthony Georgiou, Jamie Bowden, George Marsh and goalkeeper Brandon Austin.

Nice to see the lads getting some Poch love

Interesting to see Georgiou in that group. A lot of people on here thought that he was heading for the exit after his loan last season.
