I believe there is a neuropsychological and physiological advantages of serving others, adding that layer or purpose and wisdom that some crave, I just don't believe in the fantasy of it all.So a basic question. Do we serve ourselves or others?

I think then even when you are serving someone else its with a route to serve ones own self worth and understanding of the planet and the why.
That's the right answer in my view. There are no selfless act. But if the self is a nihilistic sociopathic narcissist then others suffer. And it seems these types tend to gain the most power in this world.
