Hmmmm. That list includes some who graduated before it was in place and doesn't take into account a normal level of income from graduates.

I'm guessing this Tottenham blog thing had too much space and too little content.
In an ideal world I'm sure most teams would hope to finance their player development schemes with transfers of unwanted players.
Yes, and that's what the mid level PL academy players will do for us (the ones our fans hate on the most). It's really the Jake Livermore type productions that will carry the costs most years. Whoever of Carroll, Mason, Pritchard, Onomah, etc move on next will continue the trend (we have actually produced a lot of mid tier PL talent in last 5-7 years).
The real highlight of the current generation is obviously Kane (with nods to Rose and Walker), the savings by producing vs. buying him is stupid money. The trick is, can you improve the ratio of King/Kane type productions vs. Livermore/Caulker type.
Dortmund and Atletico. Is there a sense for which other clubs have a successful sell-on model nowadays from their academies? Obviously we are focused on our own but do other clubs have similar success (from a financial perspective rather than bringing academy players through to first team)?
Fwiw, figures for 2012 through to 2015...Is there a sense for which other clubs have a successful sell-on model nowadays from their academies? Er.... we did buy Walker and RoseNail on head there Raz. Regardless of how you look at it, the investment in our Academy is bearing fruit and could potentially save us fortunes in player costs. How much would it cost to buy a Kane, Walker or Rose. That in itself is showing value, but the fact that we can afford to sell the likes of Livermore, Pritchard, Townsend etc.... for considerable sums means that we are actually getting a revenue cat video on youtube for it. I would imagine that we would stop selling our youth when either we think they are going to be amazing, or if the pipeline of talent coming through is of less quality. Either way, if you compare the success of our Academy to anyone elses, I think you will be able to see that we are definitely in the top 1 or 2 clubs. What youth player out there would not want to be at Spurs? Big chance of playing in the first team, but also a big chance of being able to make a decent living out of the game regardless.
H.mm well on the face of it that puts us in our place. Except of course it puts no value whatsoever on players who have stayed and potentially added even more value to the club.Fwiw, figures for 2012 through to 2015...

Didn't Rose spend something like a couple of seasons in our academy after arriving from Leeds aged 17?Hmmmm. Not sure what I was smoking at the time of writing that! Kane on his own represents the point, but sorry for the mistake!
