Just putting this out there. Given our massive spend on the new stadium, could the mighty Spurs potentially be facing a financial catastrophe, If the league doesn't resume any time soon? How can we be repaying the debt when we are not drawing on any income? I have read speculation that smaller clubs could disappear, but what about the really big ones?

At the end of the day the owners have enough money to stop us going bust. If we went bust they would not get any money selling us.

So we wont go into administration or anything like that.

But as for transfers this summer.....

I genuinely doubt they do. People don't sit on piles of cash that large any more than businesses do.

They have assets, but nobody's buying right now - everything is a lot less liquid than it would normally be.

Im sure they can get money together to keep the club going, we are a billion pound asset they are not going to let us go without a fight.

Even if our owners couldn’t afford to save us we would be sold. Someone with bags of money will buy us.

We have to pay 20 odd mil a year to service the loan so that's how much worse off than other clubs we are as far as i can see?

Then factor in that our wages to turnover ratio is pretty low and that we have been turning a profit the last few years then i would suggest we are not quite at panic stations yet

Nah mate. I'll be coughing up a grand next season (as will the (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) people immediately around me) We'll survive but we might drop a bit down the pecking order.

That said everybody else is in the same boat, so maybe the pecking order will be skewed accordingly.

I can imagine there will be a few clubs that are ripe for a takeover bid. Perhaps our’s might be one of them. The market value is likely to be as low as it has been for the last year. With the PR headaches, poor club form, and coronavirus all impacting upon the club’s finances. Will be an interesting year ahead.

Do you think there will be season ticket sales for next season? I can't see it myself as fans likely won't be able to attend any games.

I’m confident that Levy can handle it, there isn’t a club in more competent hands.

There are a few in richer ones of course so I don’t think this will elevate us in any way.

There no real reason for us to be in trouble.

I’ve read in several places that the PL TV money will still get given out even if the season doesn’t finish. Think they’re considering giving it out soon, with final amounts adjusted if the season resumes.

Should help most clubs.

The TV companies are in the weaker position here.

If BT/SKY refuse to pay up anything PL will sell the rights elsewhere - Amazon etc will buy them up - or they might just start their own network.

I’ve always thought it would end up that way - you could have 3 packages

Our new business model has us making more from our stadium than any other club.... just as that revenue has dropped off of a cliff. When it starts up again amidst a massive Worldwide recession how are our highest ticket prices going to fair? What about our 8,000 very expensive Corp seats as companies strip back spending to the bone?

Took a 55m investment and turned it into 2bn worth.

Reversed 20+ years of regression against the likes of Arsenal and Man United and put us into the top 4 year in year out consistently more than we have ever done, which resulted in revenue and turnover and did it with an organic model, not one where you rip a country off and pump the money into a vanity project aka Chelsea and Emirates Marketing Project.
