Just had it installed, guy showed me the line speed it said upto 40mb but more likely 36mb

Im currently getting between 5mb & 9mb, am I right in presuming it takes a few days to settle down and achieve the stated speed ???

I used to get 5mb tops so anything above that is a major bonus to me anyhow...

I'm on virgin 60mb and it never goes below 30mb.

I found that doing the speed test with your anti virus closed shows a more accurate speed.

My D/Ls keep stopping and failing too, I guess im just being too impatient and should wait for the line to settle down...

Lucky to get 250 kb/s currently on my laptop but I downloaded a 30mb app on my iphone in about 2 secs

I get about 10mb but im unsure what I cant do with 10mb that I can with 30mb? Download a movie ten mins quicker?

Now I can understand that we get ripped off etc so I would argue that but in terms of speed I download a movie in about 25-35 mins - thats fine by me.

The sky is so much better than the virgin line though thats for certain
