The thing is whilst I hate these ****s and people like them who do you blame? The parents? then the Grandparents and great grandparents etc. Its all about how you have grown up. Its a snowball/domino effect ultimately. Their kids are going to be exactly the same as their parents then when those kids have kids those kids will grow up to be the same and so on and on and on.
No excuses - it does disgust me.

Benefits should be the essentials like fuel, water, heat, electricity, water, milk, food

Academically this is referred to as 'the cycle of deprivation'. Interesting theory.
Cycles can be broken IF THE INDIVIDUAL wants it enough. These people claim there are no jobs in S****horpe which is where they live and the documentary is filmed. Try the next town then scroungers! Then the next!
One of them was talking in their kitchen and the tiling work was clearly privately done not your standard council tiling! The mum was smoking, the dad was too and the kids were on a laptop!

Every Monday give them no money. Drop around two loaves of bread, 4 pints of milk, food hampers for the week and make sure the kids have dinner tickets for school. Every month drop in a voucher for £100 for clothes and if they don't use them they can be saved for the following month.
All my opinion of course but its obviously better than giving these people money as they're not spending it on what they should be.

I didnt know there was a theory - ill read up on it. Im upset though as I thought I was going to be ground breaking with my own views haha.
I agree with Roy. Whilst I think these ****s, unfortunately, should get some cash - it should only be enough for bare essentials, but ultimately they should get deliveries on a weekly basis. A bit like those graze boxes or whatever. A box full of food and drink and thats it.
I will ask one question though - you dont think it will cause a rise in burglaries and theft? They have no money and they will want money so theyll try and get it somehow, same with cigarettes and booze. Police time will be wasted chasing these ****s etc.

They should get a prepaid card to the value of their benefits, it can only be spent in supermarkets or clothes shops and it can't be used to buy alcohol, cigarettes, chocolate, TVs etc etc. I bet there would suddenly be jobs available in S****horpe then, anything not used gets returned to the treasury.
The only problem I can see is that they would buy extra bread, milk etc etc and then swap it with friends for booze and fags but at least it makes it more difficult for people to live the high life whilst on benefits, I just don't understand why it hasn't been done.

I think the problem would then be differentiating between the work shy ****s who appear to be in this TV show (won't be watching), and people who genuinely cannot work for whatever reason (disability etc) who need society's help.
I'd have no problem whatsoever with the former only being given the means to live a basic life tbh, but the latter I would have a problem with.
Then again, these people have children too of course, who through no fault of their own are the offspring of scum, so treating the parents that way affects the children. Maybe that's what you have to do, maybe that motivates them to break out of their parents' lifestyle, but maybe it hinders them too?
