Sick sick world what is wrong with people

BBC News - Crossbow attack suspect put 'massacre' plans online

This is domestic terrorism. Just imagine this was a Muslim brown dude with a manifesto riddled with craziness. And it's hardly news right now. It should be everywhere

And this guy was clearly influenced by red pill incel stuff. Again men.

Agreed, if this was a brown Muslim, it would be on every front page.
I'd not heard of the incident at all, and I did the Otley Run in 1993 so I would have noticed the headline.

Ironically "you would not hear about them if they were white" as cried about on here is playing the other way.

Maybe Sadiq Khan goaded him into being a nonce

Watched this last night.

You can see why it's an unfathomable and unfixable problem.

Of course it's easily fixable if you delete everyone's memory.
Humans main problem is forgetting, that in the first instance, thats what we ALL are.

Louis is so good, and brave tbh.

Indeed sadly it is unfixable

To be honest I think if anyone is to blame it is us British people and our imperialist thinking. We always tried to play GHod. Some of the time with decent intentions. Sometimes out of sheer convenience.

Creating the Israeli nation and assigning them land precisely where we did was well motivated but completely crazy.

We placed millions of Jewish people who had witnessed or been subjected to the worst humanity has to offer then dropped them in a region they were unfamiliar with. I cannot imagine the things they had witnessed on a day to day basis. Really an entire nation experiencing PTSD

At same time we had forcefully moved all the Arabs to make room for this new group. Shifted them out their homes and expected them to accept 50% of their territory. Just cos Britain says so

What on earth were we thinking

In spite of how everything panned out I don’t think it was in the original Jewish settlers hearts to displace anyone. I think they had gone through so much trauma they quite naturally had a low tolerance for any kind of resistance

I genuinely think in the minds of a lot of Israelis any Arab who throw a rock probably triggered memories of their oppression by Nazis.

But after our colonial rooster up we’d forced millions of Muslims out the way

Two people - two religions with their own unique ties to the region. Now super packed with their own legitimate grievances . Both supercharged by their own displacements and subjugations.

Both groups of human beings that both have narratives which make complete sense to anyone who hears either side

And to top it off we Brits made sure it was a holy religious site for both Muslims and Jews to add maxum potency

How was it ever going to work?

We roostered up the same with India.

I hope that as humanity advances and empires are now dead that someday I m a few hundred years the situation somehow repairs itself and it just never happens again

Forced mass movements to create countries are not normal and not anything we should be involved in

It’s not Jews or Muslims to blame. It’s us. And we are the privileged few that don’t have to live with it all day to day

Its irrational worry IMO.

Spent majority of life in East London and Essex where its massively multicultural and had zero issues, in actual fact alot of live and let live attitudes in the area. People putting videos of isolated incidents on social media of people being approached in Whitechapel in the middle of the night. I can tell you now its not indicative of the majority of Muslim and Bangla community in the area, they could not care one jot about what or who people are and in fairness neither do the gentrified white population of Mile End, Wapping or Victoria park.

Its always those in the costal towns way from the impact that seemingly have these issues IMO

Very late response I know but half my maternal family were from Poplar and half from Tottenham. I would regulatory visit and until aged 14 I felt nervous.

I think it was partly because I had slight trauma when I was 11 from being on a school trip to the Science museum in London when 7/7 happened (witnessing a woman screaming outside a London Underground station not knowing what it was at the time.. thankfully absolutely nothing nasty or violent but enough to make me frightened of underground journeys and back packs for a while!)

And partly because I was from a small market town that was 98% white

I never held prejudice views because I have never been a hateful person but felt wary of people I hadn’t had much exposure too

Then once I reached the age of about 17 it started to dawn on me that actually I had been faulty wired by the Murdoch press and establishment and fed a load of gonads (being white working class and loving footie - raised on Sun Newspaper and sky sports)

I realised foreign people weren’t actually ever violent towards me.

It baffles me that people still have this attitude towards any kind of minority when I was able to verify for myself this is not the case before I reached adulthood

It bothers me a great deal that the overwhelming majority of people who have it in for any minority group haven’t actually ever interacted with them at all

I like to think it’s just out of touch boomers like Scara who will be dead soon - and who’s opinions are therefore pretty much irrelevant due to limits of time

But then I look at the council election and results, Reforms wins. And realise that really as a country - irrespective of generation - we are just inherently stupid. A nation full of little Englanders

Hopefully some day it changes but I do feel we have a deep set brain rot and the future looks bleak

At age 15 actually I would have expected that I would have grown up to vote UKIP. That was the party I felt most aligned with.

So I understand why people might align with that point of view

But then you reach a certain age and realise how much gonads and counter factual you have to practice to swallow those views.

A very embarrassing period of my life. One that does make me at least understand why people might go down that route.

Even if I am still left questioning why everyone else hasn’t grown up
