Actor Richard Kiel - who played steel-toothed villain Jaws in two James Bond films - has died in California aged 74.

The towering American star, who appeared in The Spy Who Loved Me in 1977 and Moonraker in 1979, died in hospital in Fresno on Wednesday.

A spokeswoman for Saint Agnes Medical Center confirmed Kiel's death, but did not reveal the cause

RIP to one of the iconic movie villains of our time.

Thanks to his performance in the role, the character of Jaws continues to be one of the most notorious characters in the Bond World. He displayed a menacing side to him but somehow it appeared as if he had a lighter side to him, as someone who liked a joke. Perhaps, this was demonstrated in his cameo role in the movie Happy Gilmore.

Anyway may he rest in peace, and may his family and friends find support, and comfort, in those around them.

Happy Gilmore is the rare Adam Sandler success!

How can anyone not have watched The Spy Who Loved Me, or Moonraker though?! Make that your weekend homework Dayo, as well as wining many football bets! :D

I've seen "The World Is Not Enough" but haven't watched any others. I have played a lot of GoldenEye though if that counts?

ITV4 seem to be showing them all, had Rog's debut on the other day so these 2 must be coming up at some stage.

The World Is Not Enough was pretty terrible, Brosnan got a lot of **** films after GoldenEye.

And I think I only watched that one because what I went to see wasn't on. You will be pleased to know i've never seen any Godfather or Rocky films too.

Rocky films and third Godfather are not essential. The first two Godfather films are among the top ten films ever made. I may be under rating them. Seriously.

I just dont know which one of your posts to quote, so I settled on this one!! :)

The only bond you've seen is one of the worst and you've never seen the godfather(s), mate you've got some serious films to catch up on!

This is gonna sound arsey, but it's not meant too be... How old are you and what films do you like?

Guy used too scare the **** out of me when I was a kid.

RIP.

My earliest memory of a nightmare was after seeing him come after James Bond on a train - I believe he entered the room from behind a fake wall or something? Made me terrified, and the next night I dreamt that The phantom blot came after me in exactly the same way.

Rip big man.

Watch The Man With The Golden Gun & Live & Let Die too, Roger Moore at his cheesy Bond best
