Hope I haven't missed any obvious errors. Last season we went on a run of four draws at this stage, so we have a good chance of making up that deficit.

Winners and losers so far:

+8 Watford
+7 Emirates Marketing Project
+6 Man Utd
+5 Burnley
+4
+3 Stoke
+2 Liverpool
+1 Leicester, Swansea, Saudi Sportswashing Machine (compared to Hull)
0 Tottenham, Arsenal
-1 Southampton, Brighton (compared to Middlesbrough), Huddersfield (compared to Sunderland)
-2
-3 Bournemouth
-4
-5 Chelsea, Everton, West Brom
-6 West Ham, Crystal Palace

The two best home teams from last season, Tottenham and Chelsea, have so far dropped 7 and 8 points respectively compared to last season at home. Burnley have already taken more away points than they managed all of last season.

very telling stats there. from a more realistic perspective it shows how competitive the leagus is and how our competition is already faring better (some signficantly) this season.

How often do you update this, @Jordinho? Monthly or so?

I hadn't really planned anything until the international break. This early in the season the numbers can be skewed by the order of the games, just like in the actual table. We are on a positive trend right now because we've played some games we didn't win last year. From the 26 games that are left after Arsenal we got 20 wins and 64 points last season. That means 1.833 points per game from first third of the season and 2.53 ppg from the final two thirds. A round by round comparison yields pretty much the same results (24/62 points). Hopefully we'll finish strongly yet another season.

We might be slightly ahead compared to last season now, but the next 18 fixtures gave us 15 wins or 2.61 ppg last time.

Both West Ham and West Brom are making strong cases for relegation. Just need them to keep dropping points or the promoted sides to improve a little bit more.

Well blow me down! Same point tally as at the same point last season. We're definitely regressing.

I just noticed.

To equal last year's total points, we need to win 15 out of our last 16 games.

Steve, that really shows how tough our task is to match last season.
Although last season was flipping epic, so I can't really grumble if we don't match our best league season in yonks, whilst playing at Wemmers.
