For me that was one of our best performances against a mid-table side for a very long time. When was the last time we combined intensive fight and determination with such attractive high-quality football against a mid-table side?

Friedel 8 - that save was so critical

Walker 6 - final ball lets him down

Gallas 7 - great to see him back at his best

Kaboul 8 - several timely blocks and dashing forward runs

Ekotto 8 - really up for it today

VdV 8 - superb goal, great distribution and quality corners

Parker 8 - so many brilliantly-timed interceptions

Modrich 7 - not quite his best, more than average stray passes, poor shooting

Bale 9 - outstanding, created most of Spurs chances

Adebayor 8 - good all-round play capped off by two excellent goals

Lennon 7- superb cross for Ade's second, just what we needed in the closing stages

Livermore 6 - one stray pass could have cost us but otherwise played his part

Ekotto should be no more than a 6.5 because he deserved to sent off and we got lucky the lineman bottled it.

Could have cost us as it was at 1-1.

You know what, i was actually thinking i overrated his performance by giving him a 7. Today i didn't actually think he was that good. Yeh 6.5 he gets.

Really? I thought Benny was excellent today. Did not give Routledge even a second. Where are you picking holes in his appearance?

When you make a two footed challenge like he did which should rightly have seen red, I don't think you can call a performance excellent.

If he gets sent off I don't think we win that game
 
Friedel 8 Great save from Sigurdsson. Always know what your going to get with Friedel.

Walker 6.5 Final ball needs to improve.
Kaboul 6.5 Poor in the first half, much better in the second.
Gallas 7 Solid.
Ekotto 6 Bit of a blip for Benny.

Parker 8 So many timely interceptions. You need at least one player in your team like him when you play against sides like Swansea who keep the ball well.
Modric 8 Looked really threatening today and ran the midfield with Parker. A bit wasteful in front of goal, but otherwise excellent!
Sandro 6.5 Not quite at his best.

VDV 8 Great finish for his goal. Reminded me of his goal against Blackburn earlier in the season
Bale 9 A constant threat! MOM!
Adebayor 8 Kept their defence on their toes with his pressing. Showed sublime moments of individual skill and control. Took his goals well!

Lennon 7 Superb cross for the goal, would have had two assists if Modric had buried his chance.
Livermore 6 N/A

Really good performance from the team today. Swansea had plenty of the ball, but we didn't panic and kept playing our game. We looked edgey to start the second half, but responded well after they scored. All our best players look like they are starting to click again just at the right time. Was impressed by our pressing today as well.

it was a silly and over zealous challenge. I take your point.

I will say that aside, he did play well.

He was out of position a LOT. I mean there were times when he was caught in the cm position but for some reason Swansea kept attacking on our right side (guess they targeted walker as the weak link). He didn't do his usual great passes upfield either. nah wasn't his normal self today imho (even his usual faint to go long and drag back wasn't as fluid as it usually is).

Not really sure how you can mark him lower. Didn't make a single mistake that I remember.

Wasn't at his best, but always an outlet going forward. Ok in defence that I could see.

Did well in first half particularly. Good.
Kaboul- 7
Did well, but a bit bonkers at times.
Ekotto - 7
A bit sketchy at times, but fun to watch as usual.


Sandro - 7.5
Love the guy and he was important to our tactical game plan while on pitch. Fair play to him.
Parker - 8.5
Again, key to our plan, and all over the pitch all game.
Modric - 7.5
I'm not seeing the terrible dip in form others are. Might not be at his very best, but still the fulcrum of the team, assist on first goal etc.

VDV - 8.5
What a finish. Assist from excellent corner too. Danger every time he's near the ball.
Bale - 9/MotM
As someone said in-thread, almost every time he gets it on the left something comes of it. Phenomenal.
Ade - 8.5
Two fantastic finishes and thought he rans his gonads off for the gameplan. Very well played.

I agree about Modric's shooting, but apart from that I thought he was outstanding.
