I’d imagine Rose will win this which is fair.

But Christian Ziege had 9 Goals & 17 Assists in 45 Games for us. I think that Hoddle not being able to have him and Stephen Carr fit at the same time really hurt him playing the 352 wit them as wing backs and Tarico having to deputise either side.

I liked Ziege, good shout

I think this will be the closest one so far.

I would happily have Rose or Ekotto - don't remember Ziege all that much but people a bit older (or with better memories than me) might favour him

Cant remember him that much but he had a very good left foot and offered great width down the left.

With all these positions id imagine the majorty will be won by the guy who had a long career here over those who were good for a season or two....

Well, despite our reputation as a selling club we generally kept hold of our better players so that would make sense - however, Bale Modric Berbatov and VDVaart will be in contention despite being here for a relatively short period

Rose only really has 1 calendar year where he became absolutely immense and that Rose is the best LB we've had in the PL era but BAE was way more consistent and for a much longer period. He wasn't a million miles off him so for me it's has to be Benoit Assou-Ekotto.

Rose was mustard from 2015-2020 for me. Was our best player in the CL final, not a high bar admittedly. I think BAE gets a lot of votes because of his personality. Solid player but I don’t think he was ever in the top 2-3 left backs in the PL whereas I think Rose was for at least a couple of seasons.

Absolutely loved Ziege. Danny Rose of course amazing in the Poch team but Ben Davies gets it for his consistent service to the club.
